Moreover, while I completely agree that we have performance and stability and parity issues we still need to address, the Mac user base does appear (based on what we see from inside Logos) to be split into "it never works for me" and "it always works for me" camps. I'm not sure what
Thanks Alabama. I don't want to seem angry or obnoxious. I am simply trying to communicate my thoughts that it seems to be an unacceptable business model. I often come to the forums and search for my issue and find solutions. If I'm not mistaken, this should be our first step. Perhaps, I'm just lazy, but even having to come and search
I think some of the disconnect is that some of us see the resource issues and the programming issues as entirely separate issues. I have original languages plus additional resources. I want the program to work, whether or not I ever buy another library resource (a.k.a books). For me having more resources is not a

Thanks Jack, love you too bro!! I guess I just don't like investing in a promise that never gets fulfilled. How many years has it been now and we still don't have the full product we were sold? Would you be so content if you bought a car based upon advertising hype and sales promises only to find out the car you were sold is not the car you were promised

I'm with you Charles. I have a significant investment with Logos also that goes back many years, hence my dissatisfaction with the current mess called Logos 4, but they do offer many interesting library resources in community pricing that are hard to pass up and make Logos a great supplemental product for research and reading. There's nothing wrong

Remember when you first paid for Logos 4? Who cared about beach balls we didn't even have a complete working program for months and now years down the road we're still waiting for completion and promised performance. A beach ball, reboot and and bug fix promise from a company that follows through on it's promises and you want to be sarcastic. Here's

  • Re: Upgrade to higher package version?

I agree with Jack, I upgraded from the Bible Study package to the Original Languages package which added the resources from both into one library. The OL alone as a starter package lacks many good resources such as English bible versions, commentaries, dictionaries, etc that the Scholar package would provide. If you can handle the cost increase go with

  • That Syncing feeling

Why does it take so long for Logos to complete a sync process at start and finish and also seem to be constantly syncing during use? I look at my router and it doesn't appear to be doing anything while it is supposedly syncing and last evening it took over 15 minutes before logos completed the start up and then another 45 - 60 seconds to get the home
(Remember, there was no iPad when Logos 4 shipped!)
That also tells us how long we've been waiting for the advertised finished product and promised performance and feature parity.
Andrew, Not denying you have some frustrations, but I've been using Logos 4 for over two years on the same laptop (Toshiba) and haven't experienced on single download error, or any other error for that matter. Everyone I have personal contact with (other seminary students and pastors) who have Logos 4 love it as much as I
It doesn't feel like enough time for a complete platform re-write yet... but it's been long enough that Logos ought to ship something cooler than just a few tweaks and bug fixes, right? :-) (On the other hand, with emergence of iOS, Android, web apps, etc. it feels like we're writing "a new platform" every day!...) • Logos 4 Mac already slow starting now even worse with sync feature

I know it has the start now button but why add a feature that just makes things worse than they already are? Why not add an option in the preferences that allow the user to sync on start up or not, also stay logged in would be nice too. I get tired of having to always log in when I start the app. Again I know, I could also chose to work offline but

  • Andrew Murray Collection

Why such a high starting bid for this collection? I've been noticing an increase in prices on many items lately. What happened to the great deals we used to see? I know these are still a fraction of their normal cost but they're not as sweet of a deal as we used to see on most community priced items.

Can't wait to see the first biblical condom ads, the ones the with bible verses printed on them. I wonder if they would include Genesis 9:7 - "As for you, be fruitful and multiply; a ]"> Populate

I've stuck with Snow Leopard also, I had several programs I had purchased that my wife likes, granted they are games, but we both like a little mindless recreation sometimes. I don't need iOS features in my desktops that's what I have an iPad and iPhone for.
