• Re: Made to be a Logos Resource! - Critical Edition Ecumenical Councils!

All the more reason for Logos to add a decent scholarly Latin lexicon to its library - esp. for those of us who don't know Latin but would at least like to be able to link to a lexicon for this, the Vulgate, the Latin passages of the Apostolic Fathers and the Apocrypha, etc.

  • Re: Logos March Madness
It is increasingly true that some resources cost more in Logos format than in paper format.
I can understand a little more, but this example/instance (Hengel's book) is ridiculous, IMO.

A sign of real "madness" here is that they're charging $60 for Hengel's book on the Septuagint ( The Septuagint as Christian Scripture: Its Prehistory and the Problem of Its Canon ). Even at the now-25%-discount price of $45, that's still insane, 'cause you can get the paperback from Amazon for $18.99 (which is how/where I got it), retail price $24

Okay, I got my email and now have my EBC. Hurray! Also, be sure to run the Update script or click on the attached link in your emai to add EBC to your Libronix collection as well, in case you default to Logos 3 for some reason and want to use EBC.

It says "Live" but when I do Update Now or Update Resources, nothing happens, and there is no DOWNLOAD link on the Logos site for the book - in fact, none of the Pradis pre-pub links work from my pre-pub orders account page - i..e, the pages for those books now say they can't be found.

Re: email address - Zondervan no longer has a phone number to call for customer service, but they have a Webpage-based fill-in "Contact Us" form, which is what I used: http://www.zondervan.com/Cultures/en-US/Company/ContactUs.htm?QueryStringSite=Zondervan But maybe you can just go through Logos now (Logos had originally denied it to me, too, when I

Hurry and do not despair. If you want the EBC, you have to do this and get Zondervan's approval and your name on the list before 3/15/10 (which may now not be possible, but you should still be able to do this in time for the other titles you'd want), I suspect. I had the pre-Pradis versions of NIDNTT and NIDOTTE on CD, as well as in print, and I communicated

Okay, I downloaded 4.0b Release Candidate 2 (v4.02.3.7337) per Melissa's post: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/13124.aspx And even though I have 5 hours of indexing to go, I decided to test the one thing I was interested in - i.e., did it solve the problem of my PC crashing everytime I did a lemma morphological search. • Re: EBC good first "premium" commentary?

12-volume EBC for $78 for the Pradis-owner pre-pub price. It's hard to beat that - i.e., nearly 1/2 the $148 Tyndale Libronix price from that unmentionable Website/vendor. So it's in my account to buy and ship 3/15. Maybe when the Revised EBC set is done we who bought this old version will get an "upgrade" discount on the Logos version (probaly Logos

If someone wants to be able to use their entire library and needs to be online at the same time, I'd think they'd be better off getting a netbook and a monthly wireless Internet subscription service. I don't know if an XP Netbook is enough to run Logos 4 (I have XP on a Pentium 660 with 3GB RAM, and it's a little slow - but not as slow as the iPhone

  • Re: Download Logos 4 before DVD arrives?

I paid for and ordered the DVD, as I like to have "hard" software in my hands. I found out afterwards that I could download and install it while waiting for my DVD to arrive, which I did. So I put my DVD on my desk when it came, and never used it, since I'd already installed Logos 4. A couple weeks ago I was having problems with my PC and Logos 4 and

For XP it's: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Logos4\Data\[random numbers]\ResourceManager\Resources I went to the directory and Sent a shortcut to my desktop so I could easily display the list of resources.

Me, too. After reading all the warnings against using a Beta version, I decided to wait for 4.0b and live without morph searches in Logos 4; I'll just use Libronix 3.0g/Logos 3 in the meanwhile for this.

If I get home in time tonight (i.e., before 5 pm PST), I'll call Level 2 Tech Support with my case number and they can login to my PC and see what's going on. If I don't get home in time, I'll do the log files per your instruction and send them to the Tech Support person. Thanks!!

Well, this sucks. As I said, I totally reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled Logos 4 from scratch to solve this problem, if indeed my PC was the problem, and the fact that the error continues - yet doesn't occur on your PC - now has me really baffled. If it's not my PC, then what is it? And why does it work for you but not for me? I downloaded and

  • Logos 4 crashes when doing Morphological Search with @ function

When I try to do a Greek or Hebrew morphological search in Logos 4, if it returns any hits, it lists the number of hits and then I get an Error message saying that an error has been encountered and it must close the program. I never see the list of verses found, but have to shut down Logos. I'm now forced to use Libronix 3 to do my morphological searches
