  • Re: How can I assign multiple tags to a resource?

Thank you John and you are correct . . . I am trying to assign tags to resources that are not tagged. I tried doing Option 2, however, as soon as I assign a tag, the resource syncs and is moved to the appropriate tag (or resources if I assigned the same tag to multiple resources). Also, I only have the last thirty days as the only time period available

  • How can I assign multiple tags to a resource?

Good morning All! I like to add multiple tags to new resources. If a new resource is a commentary I may add "CommentaryOldTestament" along with "CommentaryHistorical" etc. I noticed that with Logos 8, as soon as I enter one tag, the resource is immediately moved to that tag. I then have to go manually locate it in order to add more tags. In Logos 7

  • Re: Saved layout does not recall selected commentary or resource settings

Huh, you are correct, Dave. I look forward to the day that when if I save a layout, the settings that I specify are saved as I select.

Thank you Brandyn! It looks like the situations that both Dan and I raised were fixed in the latest update! I appreciate the Logos staff -- y'all are great!

Thank you Brandyn! Did you see Brandyn's note above? I have noticed that also and perhaps the behaviors (i.e., not remembering the user's choice but going back to a default) are related.

  • Saved layout does not recall selected commentary or resource settings

When I save a passage guide or a sermon guide as a layout, how do I keep my selected resources or commentaries? Right now when I save and then close the layout and re-open it, the Collections and Commentaries sections of the guide defaults "All Commentaries" or "All Collections." Here is an example: I do a study in Hosea and create a passage guide for

  • Re: What strategies do you use for note-taking whilst reading?

This thread has been extremely helpful! Thank you for all the helpful suggestions. For my Bible study I have found it easier to create a note file for a chapter. I will then copy-and-paste from any of my resources into that particular file. If create a note file for a verse or section of verses, I do the same cut-and-paste. I create a folder in Favorites

  • Re: Synchronization erro

I have had the same problem and contacted Logos support about three weeks ago. They determined that the issue is the syncing of the clippings when I working on my MacBook Pro (Mid 2012, 2.6 Ghz Intel Core i7). This problem does not happen on my desktop PC. It has been referred up the chain to the software mechanics who really get under the hood.

My apology to you, fgh, because I did do it in the wrong order from what you suggested. Nothing like operator headspace (i.e., stupidity) to make a puzzling situation more murky. Yes, I do have Time Machine activated. Thoughts?

  • Re: Missing tags

I typically sync every time I use my Logos. Yes, I have done some rating work. Interesting development (well, I think it's a new twist): in my Mac library I tagged all the books missing tags to see if they would transfer to my PC. I used AAA as the tag. I physically typed in"sync now" and did the sync. My understanding was that I could add tags to books

Logos Bible Software 4.6 SR-2 (4.60.0.3010) - this is what displays on both MAC and PC. I synced successfully several days ago. Yes, my settings have the "Use internet" turned on.

Good morning fgh, You are right about the waiting! I typed .db in a search utility and found more than I bargained for. Unless I know which one (or ones) specifically, and what to do with it, I will wait for a little more direction.

This is from my Mac library. If you take a look the first resource is the Baker Encyclopedia of the Bible. It shows no tags though I tagged it months (and months ago). As I wrote earlier, I discovered these missing "My Tags" when i was going to tag some newer resources. Here is the library from my PC with the untagged resources and there are only a
