  • Re: Amazon Kindle Gearing Up To Take On IPad?

Not only do I have LOGOS on my iPad, but I also have Amazon's Kindle Reader on my iPad. I admit, I prefer Amazon's Kindle reader to iBooks, and because of it's ability to highlight AND take notes AND bookmark, I prefer it to LOGOS reading. But the ability to have my iBooks, my Kindle books, and LOGOS books all in one place makes the iPad win palms down

  • Re: IPAD

Personally, a major influence on my buying an iPad was to read the books in my LOGOS library. I don't know that it can do the searches, and I wish you were able to highlight and take notes, which I'm hoping will come with future innovations. It does Bible Word Studies. For reading books offline, when you are connected select the book from your library

  • Exegetical Guide issue for particular look-up

Today as I was looking up Luke 19:28-44 (Jesus enters Jerusalem), the Exegetical Guide's Word for Word only went through verse 42. I thought it was a momentary laps, but tried looking up other passages and then came back and once again, the "Word for Word" only went through verse 42.

  • Re: After A12 New Download Issue

Tried that. I've rebooted several times. I've emptied the cache's and still have the problem. Perhaps I need to call Apple. (sigh).

  • Re: After A12 New Download Issue

Thanks, I figured it out as I re-read it. :) Still, have one slight issue. When I downloaded A12 it move an application called, "Logos Bible Software 4 (35300).app" to my trash. It won't allow me to delete it. I always end up with an error message: "The operation can't be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -8003)." If I move

I'm having the same issue, but I don't understand #3 in your solution.

  • Upgraded to 4 (pre-release Alpha 12) problem

I upgraded to Bible Software 4 (Pre-Release Alpha 12) last week on my mac. When I did so it moved "Logos Bible Software 4 (35300).app to my trash bin. However, everytime I try and empty the trash I now get an error message, unless that particular program is not in the trash. It also seems that the updates no longer download. Your logo will appear in
  • Re: Shipping Costs - Why are yours so high?

(sigh) Living in a rural area - no bookstores, no major store chains, no stop light - I have to order most of my books through the mail. I also end up shipping a lot of books using the postal book/media rate. This still seems high for 144 pages, unless as suggested it is packed in a lead container (or perhaps those are MIGHTY BIG PAGES!). I'm not trying

  • Shipping Costs - Why are yours so high?

I was about to order your training manual "Logos 4 Bible Software Training Manual: Volume 1, (144 pages) from you for $29.95 but then saw the shipping was going to be $7.95, so I cancelled the order. This was your lowest rate. May I ask why your rates are so high?

  • Re: Still no fix for multiple reading plans?

Looking forward to the fix. It is showing reading plans that were deleted from my computer long before I got LOGOS for my iPhone. Weird huh? Thanks for working on this!

Under file, right click the reading plan you wish to delete and "delete" will come up as an option. Just delete it.

  • Re: Indexing taking a long time...

What type of connection do you have to the internet? I have cable and it still took a couple of hours (I think- I actually left to do errends and when I got back it was done). If your on dial up you might go to a public library or a place where you can get high speed access and it shouldn't take that long. That's my experience. I hope it was helpful

  • Re: Logos 4 and Indexing

My indexing after downloading Mac Engine for "Logos 4 Alpha release 3" had taken 9 hours before I went to bed. Was done this morning at 4am when I awoke and check the computer. (What else do you do when you wake up in the middle of the night). However, I don't have a home page that shows anything in the mac version, no reading plans, and several of
  • Re: Can I load windows to a Mac computer and use the windows version of Logos ???? HELP ME!!!

I am currently running L4 on my mac. I have downloaded the Mac Alpha-3 release and it is still missing features. For most of my intense Bible Study and sermon prep I use L4 Windows. I do this through Parallels - which allows me to run both the Mac OS X and Windows simultaneously. I prefer this to restarting my computer with bootcamp. You need to have

  • L4 Mac looks like L3 PC? Did I miss something?

I recently purchased LOGOS 3 for Windows, and did it soon (late) enough that I was able to download LOGOS 4 (Windows) for free. However, I use a MacBook Pro and was using Parallels to run L4. In reading the blogs I saw that there was a Mac version available and that I could download the engine for free. Which I have done. However, it looks more like
  • Re: Is there a way to...

I think verse by verse would be a GREAT filter! When I lead inductive study I use verse by verse simply because then there are no paragraphs. In our translations there are times when the paragraph breaks are what cause some of the misinterpretation. I also don't have the Chapter breaks between the verses, they are simply numbered: 1:31, 1:32, 2:1, 2

  • Re: Reading View Issues

The only reason I raised the concern is that it didn't do it in LOGOS 3. I can expand it manually - and that's satisfactory for me - though not the way the program was designed. I do not have any other issues with graphics in any other area that I've discovered in LOGOS 4. ONly this one in the Reading View. Of course, I have only had it for a few days

  • Re: Reading View Issues

LOL - seriously, I'm laughing because I'm using a MacBook Pro. With the new Intel processors and the assistance of another program (Parallels) I'm able to run Windows. I was able to just drag the window wider to broaden it to "reading mode" and that worked fine. It's only when I use F11 or click on "Reading Mode" that there seems to be a problem. That
