• Re: J.B. Phillips' New Testament

Since I went looking for this again today, and since there has still been no response to this subject by Logos here or elsewhere as far as I can see, I'll add my request for J.B. Phillips translation too. Too bad someone hadn't produced it with PBB.

  • Re: Russian resources

Hi Vladimir Welcome to the forums. I hope someone at Logos will answer you soon (today though is a holiday in North America). Your English is really quite good and understandable. One thing though (an English lesson while you're waiting), you are not lonely , (I hope), but not ALONE. Lonely would mean you are feeling deserted by everyone. Alone means

  • Hebrew Question - Psalm 62:10

A bit of background: I'm in a bit of a spiritual battle at the moment. A church leader has hurt both my wife and I by his words and conduct. My nature is to react strongly (one of my 'life verses' is Proverbs 12:18, " There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword " and believe me, I'm good at it). I'm trying to restrain myself and handle

  • Re: ESV Study Bible and text

What is the difference then between doing this and linking the NASB with MacArthur's NASB Study Bible. In other words what they meant by different to any other Study Bible is that you could buy them both in one product instead of two orders. Why didn't they just say that? In the DTV I don't think you have to have the notes in one book and have a Bible

  • Re: Should be out today??

I just cancelled my order for it. I'll get it elsewhere. Maybe if enough people cancel these 'being put off day to day' products they'll finally get the message and quit jerking us around.
God knows who they are even if they themselves do not know who they are.
One thing has always puzzled me. If the ten tribes in question intermarried with the surrounding people, which is my understanding, then what constitutes a tribal member? Someone whose ancestors have unwittingly married only within that tribe for many
Can it go lower than $9, just curious
Yes. We had one that went for $1 although that's not likely in this case.

  • Re: Most Recent Zondervan Pre-Pub

I'm not a big Zondervan fan, but in all fairness to them, one of the reasons we have the resources at all is as a result of a great desire and many requests by us long term users to see these resources that were only available through Zondervan. They eventually responded, much to our delight, by making them available to Logos. As they are the publisher

  • Re: To Jared Bryant

Yeah - I discovered that he'd left back in October when I tried to contact him for an order. Wasn't able to get any information about it though. He was great to deal with. Hope everything was OK.

  • Re: CP: Biblical Commentary on the New Testament at 100% - bid before Fri 2/25!
Thank you for all the details. I have gone back and forth with this one over the last couple of days - adding and deleting it a couple of times. I am currently "in" - but at 6 volumes for $40 it is a bit pricier than most CP titles that I have purchased. I will probably re-evaluate as it gets closer to publication.[/quote

  • Re: Logos website and Chrome

I tried everything with no success. While I was still able to access the forums, eventually I lost the sign-in cookie. From then on I could do nothing because to sign in you have to access the logos.com site. I tried uninstall and reinstall including deleting every Google Chrome file I could find, deleted all the pre-fetch file etc - still no joy. Tried

2 more books added to my library today - no idea what they are. All recent updated files are for things that I've had for a while.

Same thing with the Studies on Daniel Collection. I figured they just got tired of us complaining about date slippage and decided to ignore them instead.

  • Re: One Less Resource

I've had a similar problem. I've had the same number of resources on two computers since the beginning. Then about a month ago after an update there has been one less on one of the computers. I haven't been able to correct it. So much for the cloud doing it all for us.

I check my Prepub orders every few days. The projected ship dates usually appear several weeks or a month or two before they ship.

  • Re: Tyndale OT and NT Commentaries

Well, if we're going to have to tolerate the Dans of Logos.com, I think that pretty much makes up my mind about the forums and the current direction of Logos itself. Having spent 10's of thousands of dollars in the past, with over $12,000 yet to come in prepub materials, I think I'll reassess my commitment to Libronix and Logos. I was going to wait

  • Re: Hermeneia update

No George - there was no notice. I guess our pleas for better notification about prepubs are falling on deaf ears. I follow my prepubs very closely, and I would have said previously that most of the time there is about 3-4 weeks advance notice. I would suggest people follow there prepubs in their "My Prepubs" account rather than the site itself. I think
