• L6 core engine update - automatic or manual?

Hi there, I currently have a L4 base package with the Logos engine 5.2b SR-9 (5.2.2.1629) on Windows 7 SP1. Am I right in assuming that the update to L6 core engine should occur as an automatic update? If so, why has my Logos version not done so? If not, will automatic updates resume once I have manually installed the L6 core engine from here: https

  • The Hebrew Bible: A Critical Edition (HBCE)

The first installment of the HBCE, formerly known as the "Oxford Hebrew Bible", is due to be published by SBL in the fall 2014. This would be a great text-critical resource for Logos, which I would love to see on pre-pub soon... Here's some background information on HBCE and their recent move from OUP to SBL as publishing partner: http://www.jta.org

  • Tooltip (mouse over) information in BHS and NA27

When I hover over words in my BHS, the tooltips display parsing information, but no glosses. (AFAT shows far more information including glosses, though they don't seem to be coming from one of my Hebrew lexicons). NA27 tooltips include glosses from LN, but not BDAG, even though BDAG is prioritized over LN. There have been requests to switch off tooltips

The Exegetical Guide to the Greek New Testament (EGGNT) is an entire series, now being editied by Köstenberger and Yarbrough. The second installment by Vlach on James is due in January 2013. This series would be great for all those making use of Greek in Logos. http://blog.bhpublishinggroup.com/academic/b/blog/archive/2012/11/12/the-exegetical-guide

  • International Exegetical Commentary on the Old Testament (IECOT)

This looks like a promising new commentary series: http://www.iecot.com It's international, ecumenical, and seeks to combine diachronic and synchronic approaches. All volumes will be made available in both German and English. Kohlhammer will publish 3-4 volumes per year starting in 2012. The first English commentary is out: Zechariah 9-14 by Paul L

The DBI would be a very useful reference work for Logos. It seems like it has not got the attention it deserves. Here's another detailed review from JETS.

Discounted packages based on the ratings of John Dyer's Best Commentaries Website would be awesome! In addition to Glynn's survey I would love to see a Logos version of An Annotated Guide to Biblical Resources for Ministry by David R. Bauer Thony

  • Re: Finished IVP Series. Time for Logos?
They will likely be made available by Logos as individual purchases, but we do not currently plan to revise the existing IVP Reference Library.
Why not? Having all the IVP Bible Dictionaries in one Reference Collection would be amazing!

I can't await the "IVP Dictionary of the Old Testament: Wisdom, Poetry & Writings" to be available on logos. A) To complete the "IVP Dictionary of the OT Bundle" and B) to create version 4 of the "Essential IVP Reference Collection" including IVPs entire Bible Dictionary Series!
