  • Reducing Size of Appdata directory

I have a 118 Gig SSD and a 1 Gig non-SSD. I set Logos on the SSD, but I notice the AppData directory for Logos is over 40 Gig. I would like to keep Logos on the SSD drive for the increased speed but I'm not sure I'll be able to unless I can get the AppData directory size under control. Any suggestions? Thanks!

[quote user="Beloved"] [quote user="Bob Pritchett"] Logos Now was an awesome deal, and we tried hard to get everyone to see that. But while you did, not enough did. Logos Now maxed out somewhere near 1.8% of our annual revenue. That doesn't come close to making a dent in the cost of delivering it, let alone driving new product development and support

[quote user="Matt Hudson"] [quote user="David Mullens"] Did they cancel their whole service and then offer the same thing? Is it the _same_ product? Seems like it is a slightly different product. From what I can tell, they are discontinuing Logos Now. Not a name change, but completely discontinuing it. Before FL had Logos Now and Logos Cloud. They've

[quote user="Danny Parker"] It makes it much harder though when you have a 5 digit dollar investment in the company. Hard to just walk away and take your business elsewhere. That I think is some of the reaction. We as a long term user base are locked tightly into the service, and we are concerned with the direction and the continually increasing cost

[quote user="Matt Hudson"] I think it would be different if a comparable online service (Amazon Prime or Netflix) did this. If an online service cancels their whole service, gives it a new name, then offers the same service back to their users at twice the price, I have a sense many, many customers would have plenty of complaints and suggestions for

I was surprised to see the email from FaithLife regarding the change in LN. However, I am a customer. Bob runs the company. As the CEO, he, and others, make decisions they believe are in the best interest of the company and the many employees. As a Customer, I will make decisions that fit with my budget, values, needs, etc. At this point, I'm not sure

I think I got you via email...but thanks. Site's working now. I believe Logos has updated the app since I did the video. I really appreciate the changes they've made. Peace, David.

  • Calendar times wrong

All of our reoccurring events have the wrong time. I assume this has to do with the time change. The times are off by an hour and I don't see anywhere to add the time zone...plus...I am, at this point, unable to change the times. Is this going to be fixed, or will I have to delete and add the events again?

  • Logos Android App on a Chromebook

I wasn't quite sure whether to post this in General, or in the Android section. Anyway...I did a post and short video showing the Logos Bible Android app running on my Acer R11 Chromebook. I posted it to the Chromebook Forums on Google Plus...thought I'd post it here as well. My other techniques for using Logos on my Chromebook are 1) using the http

Thanks for the response Michael. I did get your point and you are making mine as well. I only know of one pastor who has been held hostage by their congregation and who ended up being fired. The vast majority of pastors I know are not held hostage. My point is my experience is anecdotal...as is your's. FWIW, In my denomination we are assigned to churches

Thanks for the response. A long time ago I realized that people tend to believe their jobs are harder than other people's jobs. So, those who are not pastors, view pastor's jobs the same way...the old...they only work one day a week. Since my church is subscribed to FaithLifeTV, after watching that episode, I wonder how the people of my congregation

  • Questions Aloud

I noticed a new option under "FaithLife Originals" so I thought I'd check it out. Looking through the questions, one caught my eye...on whether pastors should be paid. Topic aside, I find it amusing listening to those who are not pastors talk about what should or shouldn't happen with pastors...but more than that, I find it interesting on how pastors

  • Church successfully using FaithLife Groups

Hi, I'm in the process of introducing FaithLife Groups to our congregation. Since we've purchased a FaithLifeTV subscription, I thought the groups would be a way to connect us during different studies. Is there a church that has successfully introduced FaithLife Groups? I would be very interested in hearing how they are using it and how they were able

I believed that I asked (somewhere) if this course was going to be accessible to those with the Church Subscription to FaithLifeTV + Mobile Ed. This morning it isn't accessible, but I see the class is up for purchase. Will this course be accessible soon? Thanks! Peace, David.

  • Re: Pastor? Church leader? Join Faithlife's private focus group!

[quote user="Bob Pritchett"] I also like to have one-on-one meetings with pastors where we can drill down on their specific needs and talk about ways Faithlife could help them. I'd like to expand the group of pastors (and church leaders) beyond those I can meet with in person. If you'd like to be part of that group, you can join here: https://faithlife

  • Confused on Groups

Hi all, I've watched the videos, read blog posts, and I'm not sure if a FaithLife Group can do what I want it to do. So...here it goes. I want a study group that shows up under the "Group" tab of our Church's main Faithlife Group. However, I don't want people who are not members of our church's FaithLife group to be able to find it. I don't want it

Hi, I'm not sure what forum to post this in, so I thought I'd do it here ;) My church now has a church subscription to FaithLifeTV and the Mobile Ed courses. I think this is wonderful. Since Logos has the basic package now, is there any reason to point people to the FaithLife Bible Study mobile app? Would focusing on the Logos Bible mobile app be best? (I have FaithLife Study Bible mobile app on my phone, but don't usually use it...so I'm not sure if there is value in having people install it rather than the Logos version.)
