I would like self-righteous twaddle like the opening post to be moderated. This is a place to discuss Logos, not a pulpit. If people wish to provide negative feedback on Logos products, that is their prerogative, and may help Logos to gauge how they are doing (think the roll out of Logos 5).
All healthy forums will contain a useful degree of dissension. The trouble starts when the scope of the forum is breached or etiquette is ignored by a few blighted individuals, trolls, who disrupt the delivery of content and discussion with a barrage of unwelcome pontifications, often thinly veiled as clarifications, honest inquiries

I don't understand the retail pricing of the Preacher's Homiletic Commentary. It is now listed at $389. The Psalms Classic Commentary set which has approximately 3,200 less pages is now selling at $189. The Psalms Classic Commentary set seems to be appropriately priced. Based on number of pages this product should be somewhere between $199-219. Or is

I think some of the Community Pricing works would benefit from being broken up into smaller packages. At 14,000 pages this one is quite large. The Princeton Review is 82,000 pages and would get published much quicker if it would be broken into smaller packages. It would be good if they started with the newer editions that have Vos and Machen as some

I am in a situation where the organization that I work for requires that anything that is purchased with ministry funds stay with the ministry in the event you leave. They believe that is the safest way to interpret IRS policies. I know that there are other organizations and churches that have a similar policy. I have been buying Logos books with personal

A subscription model in the near future would likely only happen with material that Logos produces. Lexham, FSB, EEC are their own imprints and Logos says they plan to update the materials that they publish. They don't need publisher approval to sell these works on a subscription model. Looking twenty years down the road it is very hard to guess what
I have been waiting for the free engine to come out before I upgrade. If the prices go up before I get the free engine, the odds of me upgrading is very slim. This is what I did with L4, and this is what I am planning to do with L5.
The change from Logos 4 to Logos 5 is not the big change as was experienced from Logos 3 to

I think the biggest marketing error was significantly expanding the number of books in the base packages. The basic upgrade to stay in your level should have cost around $150. That is similar to what the competitors charge to upgrade. I was looking at over $500 to stay Platinum. I opted for the minimal upgrade. The problem was not the value, but the

I think it will happen down the road. Initially it would likely be offered as an option. The price would have to be based on use. Authors and publishers would be paid based on how much they are used. I believe that Bob already mentioned that as a possibility for the future. It would be ideal for students who need to access a book for doing a paper.

Digitization/Scanning/Ebook Project Begins Nov 2004 Nov, 2004. Logos, well known publisher of electronic/digital books and developer of Logos/Libronix bible study software, is now scanning public domain books from the Turpin Library collection. The scanning crew is using the very sophisticated robotic Kirtas scanner. Only books published before 1923
Most Bibles seems to have modern measurement equivalents either in the text, or in footnotes to the verses with the measurements.
I don't own a study Bible. I depend on Logos for my information. I would think that a growing number of the Logos customers rarely use a print Bible.
But when you scan the titles of most of the posts here that is not what this forum has become. While some of that still goes on here many threads have become "hostility fests". I understand some people are upset but venting in the forums is usually unproductive. While I appreciate that Bob and others from Logos monitor and

John and 777 Have you checked out the video by Mark Barnes that demonstrates new features in Logos 5? Things that I dreamed of doing 30 years ago in school are now possible. It is not for everyone, but an interesting tool for those who are. http://www.logosbiblesoftwaretraining.com/introducing-v5/
I think the whole L5 thing could have and should have been handled such that the current customer base was top priority as a show of appreciation to us waiting so long already.
A lot of users don't want that to happen as we fear the next step would be to charge for the new software engine. Charging for a new software

3113.Logos 4 libraries.pdf I have uploaded what was in the L4 libraries when they released. Yes, the Scholars library had People, Place, Things, Pronunciation, etc.
What this means is that the minimal crossgrade will give your friend everything she needs to utilize all the new features in L5. Some of the old features, if she doesn't already have them, she will not get with the crossgrade. Make sense?
Biblical People, Places and Things, Word Study were part of the L4 Scholar
Click on your order number beside your L5 upgrade. Thanks to all for their contributions.
Maybe it would be good to choose an even lower level than L5 Silver or just the minimal crossgrade? I wouldn't save much but it would be nice to cherry-pick only what I want
The first rule is buy what you need know. I installed Logos 5 on Friday. Today the computer locked up and then did a system restore that took out Logos 5. When I try to start up Logos 4 it gives the message that Logos 4 has stopped working. Where should I start first? I was using Logos 5 normally yesterday.
