• Re: Visual Filter question

Try this: {Label Intertext} {Milestone <Genesis–Malachi>} For Quotations only: {Label Intertext WHERE Relationship = "Quotation"} {Milestone <Genesis–Malachi>} Exchange the word "Quotation" with "Allusion", "Citation", or "Echo" depending on what you want.

I tried a Clause search in John for place:ANY. It gave me 3557 hits!!! How can that be? A lot of hits are no places at all. Shouldn't it find all Biblical Entities that are tagged as places? I thought that would be exactly what we are looking for. Then I tried place:Any Region OR place:Any City

Vielleicht hilft dir das hier schon einmal weiter: Aramaic. A secondary OT language is Aramaic found in sections of the Book of Daniel (2:4 b –7:28) and Ezra (4:8–6:18; 7:12–26). Aramaic phrases and expressions also appear in Genesis (31:47), Jeremiah (10:11), and the NT. Elwell, W. A., & Beitzel, B. J. (1988). In Baker encyclopedia
Thanks for the responses. Apparently it's a little more complicated than I had envisioned. I had thought it would be something like pray@v??m.
Then you have to use the lemma. For example for Greek: lemma:προσεύχομαι@V??M For Hebrew: lemma:פלל@V?M

  • Re: Search for Imperatives

I would do a morph search in a reverse interlinear Bible like this: (<LogosMorphGr ~ V??M????> OR <LogosMorphHeb ~ V?M??????>) WITHIN 0 WORDS pray This looks up where the imperative verb form is used underneath every English word "pray". Since there are other words that have the meaning to pray, you could do the following search: (<LogosMorphGr

https://www.logos.com/product/16565/a-biblical-theology-of-missions by Georg Peters has a section on the Old Testament (see screenshot). I read it in Seminary and liked how it develops a scriptural theology of missions, starting with the nature of God itself, then showing through the old and new testament how God always had missions in mind. It shows

  • Re: Searching for "oversee"

My guess is that "match all word forms" does not mean to match between verbs and nouns. They are too different. If you however type "overseer" it will find the plural "overseers" as well as the singular form.

You could search for Louw Nida numbers, something like this: <LN 28> OR <LN 30> OR <LN 32> LN 28: Know LN 30: Think LN 32: Understand You might likely want to narrow the senses further down. But I'll let you figure that out. There might be Sense search similar to this as well.

It reminds me of other things and ways, or other attributes that can be searched for. And let me give a third reason that comes to my mind: It keeps all the different searches and their syntaxes in one place
I find it helpful to think of search extensions as types of searches and datatypes as types of data. I think you've got that pretty clear. But it's also important to keep in mind that even though datatypes are "types of data", there are "types of data" that are NOT datatypes! [...] Every search needs three items to work
