• Re: Spurgeon's Sermons on CP

I completely agree! :) I got it at 75$ a few months back, and I don't think I've been more excited for a resource. I appreciate everyone's quick feedback. I hope I'll see this within the next couple days, it's going to be absolutely enriching to my (our?) souls!

  • Re: Logos March Madness—all deals announced!

While I would've liked to have seen more books that DA Carson contributed on, his Pillar NTC on John and Introduction to the New Testament almost are worth the win right there - not to mention the other resources.

  • Update changed standard fonts?

Hey all, I updated logos today, and the fonts in all of my texts changed noticeably. Not necessarily in a bad way...in fact they almost look "cleaner" and more refined, just wondering if everyone else got impacted this way or just me?

Im pretty sure you can download a Tabletalk issue that has Carson and some other folks writing their views on Wrights theology. It is: https://www.logos.com/product/16892/tabletalk-magazine-february-2010-what-n-t-wright-really-said

Hey Friends- I build my own PC's, currently running an i7, 8gb ram, sabertooth MOBO with SATA 3 conenctivity, and a high end NVIDIA GPU. When I built this one about a year ago, I didn't want to invest in SSD because they were quite expensive at that time. I have about 400gb on my current HDD, so I don't want to get a SSD big enough for all that. I'm

  • Re: Best resources for breakdown of OG Pap, MS, etc...

Mark- Thanks for some more extensive info. It is unfortunate that if I added the critical apparatus to my library it is not linked to the resources in the TENTM package. Most of the time, Logos is very good about this. Maybe they will eventually. I want to hold out on getting the NA28 if possible, but I doubt it will be available before my exegesis

Smiling- Appreciate your responses as well. Thank you for posting a good picture there of a layout - I believe I will try to mimic some of your setup! I will acquire the UBS commentary as well, with that and an apparatus, plus the TENTM, hopefully I'll be able to do what the class will require.

This could save each student up to $100 from what I read on another forum somewhere. You only need 10 students. You really should have
First, "the" is extraneous--not present in Greek.
Don't get hung up on that. Noun's may be anarthrous when following a preposition and still be definite. I prefer ESV's rendering here, "you have heard THAT antichrist is coming" - reffering forward to the antichrist mentioned in vs 22.

  • Logos on Solid State Drive

Hello Friends, I am thinknig about adding a second hard-drive to my custom desktop. I am wondering if I got a solid state drive, and moved Logos over to that drive, would it increase my performance? Note: I would keep my windows 7 installation on my current harddrive, and would only move Logos over to the secondary SSD drive.

Is it possible for NT Wright to win two years in a row? I really hope he doesn't - I bought his books last year after he won, and I'd love to have a shot at another theologian...

  • Great conservative (reformed?) commentary sets

Hello Pilgrim Friends, I am looking to build up my library with one more solid commentary set. I currently have Wrights "for everyone" series, the WBC, some of the Pillar NT commentaries, IVP, and a few others scattered here or there. I also have the Preachers Homelitic set in Pre-pub. I'd like to have one more consistently solid set I can turn to reliably

  • Which version is the Wallace Greek Grammar?

Hello Friends, I am inquiring about Wallace's Greek Grammar, found here: https://www.logos.com/product/8286/greek-grammar-beyond-the-basics I am wondering if it is the older second edition, or if has been updated to the new third edition? The picture suggests it is still the second edition, but I want to be sure.
That's definitely not the 3rd ed. I think you're getting confused with Basics of Biblical Greek Grammar 3rd ed by William Mounce.
Tom, We are both partially correct. It may just be the second edition. Either way, I know the cover that is displayed on logos is that of the older edition (either first or second) and

This is all fascinating information. Does anyone know then if perhaps the old aqua cover and the new blue cover are different in size only, and that is why the page numbers would be off?

  • Why are original languages important?

Hello Pilgrim Friends, I have been doing a lot of contemplation on the importance of language studies in recent weeks. I'd like to get the thoughts of users in this forum. I for one believe that the study of original languages are quite important, and I'll give my few brief reasons below. I don't want to give too much of my view quite yet, as I want
