  • Re: Mac OS X - High CPU Usage

Often it seems to occur when Logos has been opened for a while and it will happen even when I am not actively using it (though it is opened in the background).

Hi Tommy, yes the sync arrows are active during the high cpu usage. I noticed your other thread after I posted mine. I'll see if I can provide you with what you need.

  • Mac OS X - High CPU Usage

Logos 5 will randomly begin utilizing a large percentage of the processor on my MBPr 13" and does not seem to quit unless I Force Quit Logos and then re-open it. This does not appear to be indexing on the part of Logos, because there is no indexing icon in the menu bar. This is a problem because not only does it use a large percentage of my cpu, but

  • Re: Mountain Lion and L5

Confirmed. I just got a Macbook Pro Retina 13" (running Mac OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.2 and Logos 5.0a SR-3) and Logos crashed as soon as I clicked on the Bible Sense Lexicon. So far, it has only happened the first time.

  • Re: CPU heats ups

Hi, The reason LogosIndexer is recorded as using more than 100% is because it is using more than one processor core. Your Macbook Air has a dual core processor with hyper threading, thus giving it the equivalent of four logical processor cores. So the number could be potentially as high as 400% (100% times 4). I just got a Macbook Pro Retina 13" i7

  • Re: Logos 5 performance

Logos 5 is noticeably faster on my computer. I was reading that others were finding improved performance which was one of the main reasons I decided to go ahead and upgrade. The program seems more responsive than L4. As for startup time: Logos 4 used to take about a minute and half on my computer to start, but with the newest L4 updates it seemed to

  • Re: Install Problem .NET 4.5

Since the topic of registry cleaners has come up, I highly recommend Macecraft's JV16 Power Tools. It's a suite of utilities, but to my knowledge the registry cleaner portion is probably one of the best on the market. Some people do not even recommend using registry cleaners because of the risk of false positives. I would recommend trying my previous

Check out this guide and see if it helps your problem: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/03/07/8108332.aspx If none of the steps help then try his .NET Framework Cleanup Tool: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/08/28/8904493.aspx This will remove all versions of .NET Framework so you'll have to reinstall the one's you need afterwards

Try this: From Start menu run services.msc Find WindowsInstaller from the services link. If you see it is started and set to automatic, disable it. Re-start your pc. Again go to services.msc . Set WindowsInstaller to start as " Manual ". Now start your installation. If that doesn't work then I've got some other suggestions. BTW, if you are not logged

Have you tried restarting your computer? This will normally fix errors related to another installation process is running. I would suggest restarting and trying the manual install from Microsoft's website again. If that doesn't work can try something else from there.

  • ERROR: Timeline and Ussher

According to the Timeline in Logos 5, Ussher had dated the flood at 4142 BC: "4142 BC The flood (Ussher)" I assume this is referring to James Ussher (1581-1656) who has dated the creation at 4004 BC and the flood at 2349 BC (see Annals of the World pp. 17-19).

  • Re: Cheaper to buy a new package than to upgrade

The original post is not entirely correct. To illustrate: I ordered Logos 4 Platinum during the Christmas sale last year and the final price was $1430. Now, the current Platinum with more resources retails for $2150, but they are offering a %15 discount which takes off appr. $320. So the current price is about $1830. Next, they discount the resources

  • Re: Purpose of the "Metro" app

It looks to me like an early release of something better later on. At the moment it simply offers basic reading and browsing one's library. The version number is 0.02.0.0000 which appears to be a beta release (normally a final version will start with a whole number).

  • Re: Reading Plan Crash on original iPad running iOS 5.1.1

One thing I would try before reinstalling Logos is to close all programs, power down the device, and turn it back on: (1) Close all programs by pressing the home button twice, then tapping and holding on an item in the menu that comes up until you get the little minus (-) signs and click on the minus (-) sign for all the programs to close them. *NOTE
