Many thanks, guys. I think that explains it!

I clicked the 'from these resources' link in the email I received saying that, as a Now subscriber, I'm entitled to one free book a month. No matter which book I choose from the list, it sticks with the original price, and there's no code I can find that reduces it to zero. Am I missing something?

God deliver us from Pharisees who post reactions like this! Mind made up in advance. Condemnation without grace or understanding. A huge contrast to Tom Wright's own gracious attitude towards those of different views. Grant us all grace, Lord!
-
Whoopee! I got it today, as the Now subscription has been upgraded to include it and various other features. Thank you, FL!

Thanks. My Logos library dates back from the days of floppy disks and the Scholar's edition of the program. I have added lots of resources over the years, with close on 2000 now, but I obviously don't meet the required standard for the Lexicon Reformatting feature. What a pity this dataset can't be purchased!
-
I came across the video tutorial on this very useful feature for reformatting BDAG etc. But it's not available for me, for some reason. I'm on Logos 6 and am a Logos Now subscriber. Is this something I can purchase and add?
-
I have Office 365 on a 64-bit Win 10 machine and the Logos SmartTags feature works fine.

Yes, Lonnie. I came across this video, and it helped me immensely. For anybody who may be interested, what I did in the end is as follows: I ran a Passage Guide on the whole of Exodus. In the report I found the Parallel Passages section, which has a subsection on allusions to Exodus in the NT. I deleted everything except the 'Old Testament Quotations

A big thank you to you all for taking the time and trouble to repond. Your suggestions certainly give me some pointers to the way forward.

I'm wanting to find places in the NT where the Christian experience is described or alluded to in terms that reflect the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and their journey to the promised land. I'm sure the immense capabilities of Logos must make such a search possible, but can anyone advise me, please, on how best to go about it? Many thanks!
-
Got them both. A good buy. Thank you!
-
Thanks, Dave. Will do.

Thanks a lot, Graham. Yes, I found a ref to Logos in the Event Viewer. Screenshot attached. I then opened Logos, closed every panel down and went for the Topic Guide. It triggered the crash right away, as soon as I clicked the arrow to run it. DAVID

Oops! Found it! I was looking at the Documents folder under Libraries. Sorry to mess you about. I now attach the log files that are current and hope they will shed some light on the situation. Thank you so much. DAVID 3568.Logos Log Files.zip
-
Ah, yes! Sorry! Didn't realise it was the ordinary Documents folder - assumed it was the one under Logos. So I right-clicked and opted to send it to a zip file. But when I look into the zip file there's nothing in there more recent than 2013. This is what happened last time. Can't understand why. Any suggestions? Thank you for your patience, dear brother

I'm having problems here, Graham - mainly in that the Logos Log Files folder doesn't seem to exist. First, however, I need to let you know that the crash occurs every time I try to run the Topic Guide, no matter what subject I choose. To try to get the logs to you, I started Logos 6 with the Ctrl key held down, then signed in and opened my usual layout
-
Thanks, Graham Criddle, for your response to my query about reasons for the crash - which happens every time I try the following... I go to Guides > Topic Guide and choose 'Lord's Supper'. When I click the blue arrow the report starts to appear, then the error message I reported earlier comes up. I look forward to hearing from you good folks at Logos
-
When I try to run a Topic Guide (on 'Lord's Supper') I get the message that Logos Bible Software has stopped working and it closes down. It has uploaded data to Microsoft, but I've not had any ideas from them as to what might be the cause. I tried another approach, highlighting the words 'Lord's Supper' in 1 Cor 11, right-clicking and doing an 'Everything

Many thanks, Reuben! This works well. I select the phrase in the NIV, choose Edit attachment points in the note's menu and choose Attach to selection . I then click the X next to the TNIV entry to remove it, leaving me with just the NIV phrase-attached note that I want. It will take a while to work through them all, but it's manageable. Thank you!

When I used the TNIV as my preferred Bible I made many notes attached to phrases. Since they are attached to phrases rather than a verse (reference) the notes only show up in the TNIV, not in other versions. I now use the NIV (latest edition) as my preferred Bible. The phrases with annotations are, in the NIV, in most cases identical to the phrases
