I loved that little tool.

Also, they are not denying free access to the Bible, they offer the Lexham English Bible for free, as part of the previously mentioned FaithLife site and the FaithLife app. They just charge for the additional resources, much of which is specialized for pastors and people going to seminary, such as resources for original languages and books on theology

I agree. There are some books in that list that I would like to get, but while they are only available in that package, I will not be getting them, hopefully they will be breaking this package apart.
-
I actually do appreciate, at least for the initial Logos purchase, getting the huge bundle, because for research both for school and independent research, I have truly appreciated the huge library that I have. I have had Logos since Libronix 3 (which I got around the end of 2006 when I first started seminary. I do understand that package purchase as

That would be very nice. I go to the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and whenever possible, I purchase the book in Logos, even if it is a little more expensive than at the school bookstore, but I prefer the books in Logos. I have a library of more than 6,000 books, and I still usually have to purchase most of my books at the bookstore. I hope

It is Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

I ended up purchasing this package and I am delighted with it. I go the the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY and yes, they do carry the books by Calvin, Zwingli, and Cranmer. I remember reading the works of Zwingli there and I found that to be a truly wonderful experience. I also have enjoyed reading Calvin's Institutes. Anyways

I would like to see them in Logos, also. They were my church history textbooks in both college and seminary.

I upgraded to Mavericks and have no problems running Logos 5. It runs just the same as it did under Mountain Lion.
-
I upgraded to Mountain Lion the first day that it was out and Logos 4 (which was the version that was out at the time) worked just fine with the operating system. I forget where, but I did check for compatibility before making the upgrade.

So, in summary, it looks as though if the "Update Active" command worked against a named layout that would give you what you need. Is that correct?
yes.
It turns out that I had a named layout, but the one that I was reading from was not the named layout. I don't know how that happened
To take a screen shot type Cmd-Shift-3. To take a shot of a selected area of the screen, type Cmd-Shift-4. Then, use the paper clip in the "Description" portion of the post dialog.
Thanks for the information, I'll mark this post so that I'll be able to return to it in the future.
So, in summary, it looks as though if the "Update Active" command worked against a named layout that would give you what you need. Is that correct?
yes.
However, as Jack points out, this does work for him on Mac on 5.1B9. What version of Logos are you using?
I am using 5.0b
Are you trying to do this against a saved, named layout or just the active layout which has evolved as you open resources etc? I think this only works against a named layout.
I have been using a named layout by the name of "Calvin", in which I am using both Logos editions of Calvin's Institutes (Beveridge, and

Is there anything that I can do to fix this problem such as uninstalling it and reinstalling it, or is this just a bug that got into the programming that would have to be worked on by Logos? Any help would be appreciated. I do hope that it does not involve uninstalling and reinstalling because I have a massive Logos library.

Hi, I used to be able to update my active layout by clicking [Control][Command][Option][L], but that does not work anymore, I have also tried clicking the layouts button and clicking on update active, but that shows up in black, not as a hyperlink anymore. I am trying to read through the Battles Edition of Calvin's Institutes, but I find that when I
-
Yes, you can. I have had the Theological Journal Library for years now and it works just like the rest of Logos.

Metamorphosed is correct I believe.

I have been waiting on this translation to come out. I just wish it was available in time for a class that I am finishing up this semester in which we are supposed to read Calvin's Institutes.
Does that mean he's a special needs Logos user? Well, we all are.
Funny!
