The indexer now crashes after a few seconds. This was not an issue with 8.12. Two error messages appear in Event Viewer. Application: LogosIndexer.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Exception Info: System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteException... Faulting application name: LogosIndexer.exe,

Indexing completed. I did some searches, and they were successful. So I think all is well. Thank you, Lynden and Andrew, for responding to my query.

I was editing a Word document while Logos 6 was indexing in the background. Suddenly, I got a black screen, then 20 seconds later the system rebooted. No useful information was logged in Event Viewer. I noticed that, after the system rebooted, Logos indexing resumed. My worry is that the index might be corrupted. What, if anything, should I do? Thanks

Both Muraoka's Greek-English Lexicon of the Septuagint and Lust et al.'s volume of the same name list the dictionary form with the accent on the first syllable. The alternate accentuation is found in Homer and in Classical Greek. So, it seems like an error that Logos should fix. Please report it!

A few of us have had this problem. Tech support came up the the following solution. Make sure you have an Internet connection. Close Logos. Find and rename the file "licenses.dat" in the LicenseManager folder. (Its location depends on your operating system.) Start up Logos and run "Update resources" in the command box. It will download a 1.2 MB file
-
I tried Update Resources again at 10:30 p.m., and it still didn't work. So I deleted licenses.dat and tried again. That did the trick. Thanks!

The problem was with the licenses.dat file in the LicenseManager folder. The remedy is to close Logos, rename the file, restart Logos, run Update Resources, restart Logos when the download is complete, then wait till indexing is done. Then the Marv Allen voice becomes available as an option in the Read Aloud panel.

I get that in the logs as well. Rebooting hasn't helped me. The file downloads and then doesn't install. I have also tried Safe Mode with Networking in Windows 7. But then the file doesn't even download and the Indexer crashes. I hope Tech Support figures this out!

Thanks for the suggestions! Unfortunately, it didn't install the file.

I am in the same boat on a Windows 7 (x64) machine. I have rebooted, repaired the installation, deleted and reinstalled LEB, renamed the DownloadManager and UpdateManager folders, downloaded and scanned audleb.logos4, and manually copied the file into the Resources folder. What I have found is that when I do Update Resources, it downloads audleb.logos4
-
Tried Repair from Control Panel. I still get the same behavior. I guess I'll call Customer Service next week, when I have some free time. Thanks for the help!
-
Yes, I did try the direct download and ran "scan c:\install". Nothing happened. The file currently stuck in the ...ResourceManager\Downloaded\LLS_AUDLEB folder is 1691 kb and is dated 6/4/2013, 5:19:55 PM. It has the same byte size as the direct download file.
-
I ran Update Resources. Seemingly, it downloaded 1.2 MB. I restarted Logos. No joy. Here are the log files. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! 6114.LogosIndexer.zip

It seems I do have a license, since the prepub button on the web site is grayed out. I downloaded the file to c:\install (1691 KB), ran the command "scan c:\install", and restarted Logos. It still wants to download 1.2 MB and audleb.logos4 reappeared in the download folder. I guess I'll have to create some log files and post them for analysis.

I seemingly installed update 5.1 without error on my Windows 7 (x64) system. But I found that if I run "update resources," then the file audleb.logos4 (1.2 MB) is downloaded but not installed. I have tried deleting the updates.db and downloadmanager.db files. I have tried using the scan command to get the file from the Downloaded folder to the Resources

Just spoke with support. I was told that Greek pronunciation comes with Scholars edition and above, not with Original Language. It costs $19.95 to purchase the add-in (Logos 4 users must download, not use CD to install). http://www.logos.com/products/details/2065

Honestly, I don't recall having Greek pronunciation in v. 3. So I may not be losing any functionality here. But if pronunciation does not work in my setup, I wish the option was not displayed. I have tried prioritizing LSJ. But it still does not display as an option when I right-click a Greek word. Every other Greek lexicon appears, but not LSJ. --Darren

With v. 3.0f, I had an add-in that did morphological searches and verb river, etc. I found that in the new version these features are still there, but I have no links to the Passage Analysis tool in the tool bar. To run the new Passage Analysis, for example, I need to use the command box. I don't particularly like that. The Greek pronunciation tool

I too am missing the Passage Analysis tool, as well as the Greek Lemma Pronunciation function. --D. Miner

1. The Biblical Languages add-in, which I paid for, is gone. 2. The Pronunciation list is empty. 3. I cannot add LSJ to the list of resources available when right-clicking a Greek word. If anyone has solutions to any of these issues, I would be extremely grateful! --D. Miner
