Well I at last have bible software that has notes, resources, highlighting, notes, and works on my Mac, iPhone and iPad, syncs across all of them easily, searches resources quickly and works offline as on line and makes the library available on all platforms. It isn't logos. I still use logos, I bought a lot of books on it. I can read them on my iPad

This is possibly good news. Since L4 all I can really use the program for is reading on the ipad. It is a great library for sure, just to slow, buggy and lack of notes capacity etc.... So it may be that I can drop L4 future upgrades and slowing of the computer, get vyrso and keep the books i've bought to read already!
The problem is that Favorites has too high a granularity. That is, yeah, I can organize Notes Files and Clippings Files, but I can't organize individual Notes and Clippings
Yes I agree, Favorites is not a handy work around. Really all that is needed is the functions for Notes that were in L3.
It seems to me the main appeal of being able to have notes in Logos is the convenience of having them inside the program and the ability to search them.
Certainly the appeal is to have notes which are part of the Logos program. Notes you can search, notes linked to verses and articles and therefore listed and organised
But I never lost notes!
I use notes in L3 frequently and never "lost" any either. Never heard of them vanishing before.
Sounds like Notes was a frustration for many before L4, and if a part of a program is not functional, it should not be there at all.
I don't quite agree with that

  • Re: Still using L3? Prefer L3?

Notes is the big reason I still use L3. I expect to continue using L3 when import of notes is available since the L4 notes may still need further tweaking. I like some things about L4, but would have been quite happy not to have had it for another year or two while it was all completed. I have stopped buying resources for it though, because at some

[quote user="Charles C.G. If notes do become again in L4 what they were in L3 it will take a while. Its the main reason I still work in L3 even though I have L4. Keep on keeping

  • Re: Can you import e-books purchased from SONY into LOGOS?

Thanks for the insight and link re copyright, which seems to me a complex business. I realise that when you purchase a book you have not bought the right to copy the pages and bind them and sell or give them away. I can understand why that would be annoying for the book producer who wants to sell more copies, not be outsold or undersold by "pirates

Ok made a handout on Luke 1 46-55. The whole process is v awkward. Have lots of stuff listed I had to delete first of all, then search for the things I might actually want to add, could not really arrange the items in the way I wanted, had to accept the program's way of doing it. Wanted to add my own items already typed into notes and clippings, but

  • Re: Scrolling Aids Don't Work

not sure where to post this so this may do, the scroll bars have lines which clearly mark other points in the book, complete with pop-ups of the relevant section. Is the purpose here simply to guide scrolling in some way, or to point to connected parts of the work? Is there another use I am missing?

not being very clued into search syntax, well not at all really, is there a "search syntax for dummies" lesson anywhere? And I do not mean a list of terms, I mean "here is how we do a search.... this is a keyboard...."
Yes, and that is just what I tell all my church members. "Stop it with the stupid questions and complaining. Read you bulletins and newsletters and you would know what time the committee meeting is. Read the bulletin and then call me if you are still stupid!" Don't they know it is a privilege to have my services. I do it

Difficult question to answer Jacob since there is a lot I don't know. What leads me to think L4 conceptually different is not missing features by themselves, but the way L4 seems to work (as it stands) and the comments of developers on the forums. There seems an intention to present an essentially new sw aimed stongly at a new user audience who is not
