  • Re: Concordance Tool - Hebrew Lemmas?

Yes - the "short title" for my reference is BHS SESB 2.0. Any ideas why the lemmas wouldn't generate? Using the Lemmas does seem like it would be one of the more useful functions of a tool like this in Hebrew.... Mike

  • Concordance Tool - Hebrew Lemmas?

I'm new to Logos Now, and built a concordance of the BHS 2.0. (and I tried this on 4.2). When I select "Lemma" instead of "Word" from the drop-down, I get a message in the results window that states "unable to generate concordance." Is this an error? Lemmas seem to work fine in NA28. I'd like to be able to do the same with Hebrew Lemmas. Help! Thanks

  • Re: Collaboration methodology?

David - it was collaborated. Dustin, I tried this and at first the document wasn't showing up....restarting Logos ended up doing the trick, and now the highlights are appearing. Is there a way for me to direct where a new highlight goes by default? i.e. if I use the highlighting toolbar, how can I direct which note file the highlight shows up in? Thanks

  • Re: Collaboration methodology?

I must be missing something, then. A friend posted a document with several highlights that I can see from the documents.logos.com. I've connected to the document through the faithlife group, but the highlights are not showing up in my references. Visual filters are set (Faithlife checked, the specific document is checked). Nothing shows up for Scriptures

  • Re: Collaboration methodology?

Thanks for the replies! Is there any way to share highlighting dynamically ? In other words, I'd like to create a collaboration on a document where it is not necessary to constantly go back to the documents on the Faithlife site to "redownload" a fresh copy to get new highlights...is there a way to automate sharing of highlights so that the desktop

  • Collaboration methodology?

Hello - I've set up a Faithlife group to attempt to collaborate and see "group notes" on different resources we are reading. It seems that in order to see the notes from other people, I have to specifically duplicate the note file in order for their annotations and highlights to show up in the resources for my desktop application. I recognize annotations

  • Re: Hebrew Morph search question

That seems to work fine -- I get 5 results in 5 verses. I can even backspace through the morphology and change it and get good results, so it's not likely an indexing issue. What I try to do is type the Hebrew text, then select the correct lemma from the drop-down. Then I hit "@" and select what I want. This method wouldn't be introducing any spurious

  • Hebrew Morph search question

Hello, I'm trying to search for all instances of הלל in the imperative. When I attempted to construct a morph search, when I added *any* morph info (such as specifying a verb) I ended up with zero results. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance. Mike

  • iPad NET Bible references BUG?

Through my iPad, when I try to pick a verse within the verse chooser, I'm getting odd results -- for example, opening to 1 Cor 6 goes to 1 Cor 14. Rom 3 goes to Rom 11. Does anyone else have this problem? Thanks in advance! Mike

  • Re: Suggestion to make user-defined Syntax Search more flexible

For some reason when I tried this by taking the first "phrase 1" and making the lemma disagree with "phrase 2" in my pic (how do I insert a screen shot?) , it returned zero results instead of 360...not sure why, but it didn't seem to work. Help?

  • Re: Suggestion to make user-defined Syntax Search more flexible

Don - thanks for responding! In your example υιος only shows up in one of the boxes. In the picture I attached (didn't see how to put it into the main body) the word appears in three different boxes. To change the word in my example, I'd have to change it in three different places instead of one. For your example, I completely agree - but I think if

  • Suggestion to make user-defined Syntax Search more flexible

I was looking at the thread http://community.logos.com/forums/t/22721.aspx and found the attached search...It would be great if we had the capability to place a "holder" into this search for a word (like θεος) that would make it more generic and more easily modifiable in case one was looking for a different noun... In other words, perhaps a pointer

Not sure if this helps, but I built a (pretty large) search string using some automation and the site http://en.wiktionary.org/w/index.php?title=Category:Ancient_Greek_third_declension_nouns&oldid=13150043 If you cut and paste the contents of the word doc into a morph search, it should pull all of the 3rd declension nouns mentioned on the site--from

  • Re: Library - Sort by Recent

I totally agree with this request. When a user has a large library, having to sort by only title or author is unwieldy. Please try to make this a priority (despite "can't make any promises"), as it would be my default choice for how I'd like to see my resources show up and is way more useful in many cases.

  • Logos 5 randomly crashes

Hello! 8623.Logos5Crash.zip Logos 5 crashed on me about 4 times this morning. Not sure if the attached log file has all occurrences or not...there didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when it was crashing, and was not reproducible. Thanks in advance. Mike

I haven't downgraded, and suspect that would work - but some google searches reveal possible hot fixes? Just don't want to downgrade when memory checks out ok with diagnostics. Log files are attached at the bottom of the original post- just somehow the links ran together perhaps making them more difficult to see. They do point to a protected memory

  • Logos 4 Crashes randomly with memory upgrade

Description I recently upgraded my computer to 8GB of RAM, primarily for Logos performance. Logos has started to crash, possibly as a result. I have run memory diagnostics on the new RAM and it checks out good. This crash happens at seemingly random times. Sometimes Logos will run for several minutes, and sometimes it will crash right away. Steps to

  • Re: Syntax Search results missing?

Thanks -- this is a lot more or the kind of help I was looking for. . .I'll keep trying, but you guys have given me a great start. Thanks! Dave - I must've been looking at an English search initially to see some preliminary verses I thought would be relevant, and didn't notice the "eis" versus the "en". Thanks for pointing that out. . . I understand

  • Re: Syntax Search results missing?

Dave, I'm familiar with the wiki, as well as starting with a structure -- my issue is that I'm getting too many results or not enough. If I don't "skip levels", I don't get things like "in our Lord Jesus Christ" (Acts 20:21), which I desire. However, if I do skip levels, I get stuff like "in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ", which isn't what I'm looking
