G'day Jason, IMHO, you can never have enough RAM. My MacBook Pro has 4GB and Logos 4 Mac works really well, even in Alpha stage. So, if it was me, I would upgrade to 4GB and that will be great for your needs

Can't wait to get home from work to download - and thanks in advance for a significant milestone.

Many thanks Joe - you've been a great help
I haven't posted much in these forums, but have gotten a lot from them. I just wanted to take a moment and thank you Joe for your continued help in here.
Fully agree Matt, Joe's time and effort is invaluable to me as a newcomer to Logos

Thanks for the new Alpha. My library between Mac & Win is close to parallel - 788 books in Win and 787 in Mac. Keep up the great work Mac Development Team! Thanks for all your hard work and diligence.
Also need to add something for non-Growl users.
Maybe just a link on the Home Page of A14 directing them to download Growl. It's a Mac necessity! Great work Tom and your team.
Can someone explain Growl? Should Logos users like myself get it?
It's lets apps notify you when things happen - eg indexing your library, new tweets have arrived (Ecofon). http://growl.info/ It's a great utility to have See examples here http://community.logos.com/forums/t/11336.aspx?PageIndex=2

Thanks for the updates Cameron - you, Tom and the team are doing a great job
For the past several days I’ve had to leave my laptop running with the hopes that the indexing would be completed sometime yesterday.
Very early on in the forum (about A3 stage) someone else expressed similar problems and the answer was to use a utility called Caffeine (see link http://caffeine.en.softonic.com/mac
I have posted a video on YouTube
Thanks Heath - quick and easy
Everyone with custom icons the new Alpha may replace it with the default icon.
It did - but it's easy to change now thanks to your video

I'm using XP as I didn't want to spend unnecessary dollars as Logos 4 Win is the only program I run on my VM. This post has some handy tips http://community.logos.com/forums/p/6461/51995.aspx#51995 Suffice to say that I'm pleased with the performance of XP under Parallels 5

Me too - didn't notice as I don't use the home page, but checked when I saw the OP
While reading on the IPhone (Books downloaded for offline reading) specifically Barths Doctrine of God Part 2 and the ESV, I find that the right side of the text is cut off in portrait reading mode and I can't get it to go into Landscape reading mode. Since I haven't found a multitude of complaints of this serious issue

Hi Logos 4 is my first experience with Logos software so forgive me if this is a simple question. I have Scholar's Silver and i noticed in my account that there are about 32 resources that are tagged "No downloadable files for resource". I assume that this is a temporary situation as more and more resources become available for Logos4. The reason I
I have both in my library, but I don't know when I got them.
Jack, I had a look in my library and the various files are there - it was as MJ said, installed with the program. Thanks for your help, and thanks also MJ Blessings,

Congrats from me as well Joe. Seattle pastors/churches will be blessed by your enthusiasm and knowledge.
I have an iMac Intel model at home for Logos 4, provided the license will let me install on two computers not to be used at the same time. That is a later search.
James You can install on multiple machines using your same logos customer ID - eg one at home, one at work. Hope you'll enjoy Logos4 as much as I am.
I have 2,101 books on my PC side & 2,096 on my Mac side. Where are my other books that did go to PC but not to Mac? Thank you
G'day Richard. I have experienced the same issue, but to a smaller degree as my library has only 840 books or so. My understanding is that there are some books or features yet to be implemented
