• Re: LOGOS PLATFORM is being sold as Catholic

Logos has chosen to use "Logos" to refer to the shorter canon / non-liturgical base and "Verbum" to refer to the longer canon / liturgical base. Many of us hope to see "Devar" to refer to a Jewish oriented version.
Hi MJ, I respectfully think you are trying to minimize the issue. Put simply Verbum

  • Suggestion for Bob: Can we have a chart/figure/???? to show the corresponding upgrades to L5 from L4????

Bob, Forgive me if this question has already been answered, but I have not seen what I am looking for. What I am describing is a simple illustration to show which upgrade most naturally complements which package from L4. That is, Platinum L5 is clearly far beyond Platinum L4, but I had trouble finding which upgrade is the most "natural" i.e. the pair
Robert ... sure you don't want to edit that last paragraph?
Not really. As I said we have some fragments that may be older. I was thinking of the AD68 fragments of John. I was unaware of the Qumran fragment, which is older. The 7Q5 fragment is evidence that two verses of Mark existed no later than 60AD. The fragment may have
The exact year of the production of each of the four gospels cannot be fixed. But the most careful and scholarly modern criticism puts the date of St. Matthew’s record at about 38 A. D., and his record of this prophecy is the fullest, as well as the first. Mark wrote A. D., 67 to 69. Luke A. D. 63. John A. D. 95.
One

As I read history, including scripture, I find that whenever someone lets a temptation exist, someone succumbs to it. The stronger the temptation the more people will flock to it to give in. There is a great deal of money and power to be had in leading the sheep. Is it any wonder that the jobs with the best payoff attract the worst (as well as the best
There are some good communicators among Logos staff, especially from the President. The problem is poor marketing. It was the same when L4 rolled out. It is on this front that Logos needs to improve.
Amen. The simplest thing that Logos could have done is invent new names for the new packages. The new portfolio is a HUGE
My one issue so far is I can't get to Timeline, even after indexing and restarting. I'll call about that. I go to Tools and all I see under reference is Bible Facts. Blessings, Ted
Timelines are accessed through the library, not tools. Set your search criterion to "timeline" and select the desired document.

  • Re: Wow Logos on the Mac is so sub-par

thank you again for paying attention to your users. It should not be unheard of but in many companies the CEO cares little for the people who buy his product. That being said, perhaps I have an explanation for the two camps - MAC works/sucks. Many users define problems differently. My MBP LOGOS program crashes at least once per hour of offline use.

The program works for me LOGOS (4.60.0.2972) on OSX 10.8.1. You might need to post some logs to show what your installation is doing.

  • Opinions on "The Voice" translation

Has anyone read the translation called "The Voice". It seems to be a paraphrase into a more common English. I am wondering if it might be possible to get it into LOGOS as a translation to read to children in Sunday School. If the language is easier for them to grasp it might help.
