• Re: Too Many resources released the week before Christmas!

Hi John, I had noticed this too with both the Pillar NTC Timothy, Titus and Christianity Today 1956-2016 also being released in the next few days. For me this means not being able to buy a commentary set that is on discount this month through the Christmas specials. I think it would be nice if Logos could put some sort of estimated completion date or

  • Re: Daily Homepage Deal - a plea

I second this request. It's been hard for me to find anything on Logos website as the Logos 8 upgrade offers seem to dominate. If it wasn't for those in the forums posting links to things like Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, I would have never seen them or known how to access them because Logos 8 upgrade offers are the only thing I see on the Logos

How about this one that's located in the ESV Study Bible on page 2752. https://ref.ly/logosres/esvsb?ref=Page.p+2752&off=1427&ctx=Middle+East+Today%0a+%0a~Map+2:+The+World+of+ Map 2: The World of the Patriarchs

I've had the new editions on Philemon by McKnight and Haggi/Malachi by Jacobs on my wish list for some time as they were the only two
Thanks Graham. I get a different view. I get the same on my tablet & laptop.
Just to chime in, I also get the same home page as Paul (with no daily deal displayed) and I remain logged in to logos.com

  • Re: Introducing the New Logos Notes
If you use mobile devices - then upgrading to Logos 8 will, by default, cause the L8 mobile apps to be installed and these only use the new system. So that could be another reason to hold back on the switch
Good point. I hadn't thought of this. I just checked the app store for my iPhone and it is telling me to

  • Re: Introducing the New Logos Notes

Hi Graham, Thank you for reminding me about that. I remember having read that somewhere earlier (so many forums and websites ) but if I recall correctly there was a warning. Something about using one system and then using another could have adverse effects on the notes or something like that. I have thousands of notes and am a bit paranoid about doing

Phil, in another post (can't find it now) you had asked about wanting to know what's important to us. For what it's worth. I can't see myself upgrading to Logos 8 until these issues are resolved: Integration of notebooks in Your Documents search section in Everything search Integration of notebooks in My Content section of guides Copy Paste from resources
Hi Ryan. It's still there! What used to be called "My Passage Guide" is now called "Passage Guide." It's your guide template as before, and is still fully editable.
Great news. Thank you Richard. I appreciate it. I'm trusting that all of your template edits from L7 also transferred over to the L8 Passage Guide

  • Re: Guides

Hey All, I don't yet have L8 (still flipping couch cushions looking for extra money) so please forgive this basic question, but I just wanted to verify that when I ultimately do upgrade to L8, that I will NOT lose what L7 called "My Passage Guide." Specifically, that (heavily) edited guide template that I created with sections that I found valuable
Just to confirm. We are aware of this issue and I'll see about adding it to the FAQ.
Thank you for letting us know Alan. It’s reassuring to know this hasn’t been forgotten among all the other things on the notes “to-do list.“ I appreciate it.

  • Re: Notes

Oops, nevermind. I found this: If you have lots of unnecessary notebooks that you want to get rid of (especially if you used per-resource note documents for your highlights), don’t delete the notebook. Currently, deleting a notebook also deletes all of its notes. In the future, we plan to have an option that deletes a notebook without deleting

  • Re: Notes

Thank you for the clarification above Graham. Most of my notebooks/notefiles are resource specific and it sounds like from the previous posts there isn't a need for this outside of the specific instances (i.e. sermon prep, topic of forgiveness, etc.) If there isn’t a need for notebooks, I should probably get rid of them (but keep the note), but

Thank you Graham, That is very helpful and I appreciate you taking the time to make/post all those screenshots for me. While I think the visual filters on/off is an important element, it has me wondering if, in addition to the visual filters issue, if there is a reason I would want or need highlights in a specific notebook as opposed to the "mega no

  • Re: Linking to a resource within a note

I'm guess I'm curious as to why there is a workaround needed. It seems strange that Faithlife would remove this automatic hyperlinking - especially considering that Logos 8 is being marketed at "Easier to use." I was so looking forward to the new Notes feature, but the more and more I learn about it, the more disappointed I am becoming as I see that

  • Re: Notes

Hi Graham, Thank you for your reply. The fog is slowly starting to clear <smile>. If I'm understanding you correctly, it sounds like I would still want to keep using notebooks (as opposed to the "no notebook mega file") so I can turn them on/off individually in visual filters (as opposed to all or nothing). It also sounds like, just like in L7

  • Re: Notes

I don't have Logos 8 yet because like others in this thread Notes is extremely important to me and in following this and other Notes threads, I'm still confused about some of the basic workings of it. I've tried to read up everything I can, but there are still a few concepts I'm a bit fuzzy on. If anyone could help clarify this for me, I'd be very grateful

I don't have Logos 8 yet, but does this mean that copying the text from the commentary and pasting it into the note no longer includes the hyperlinked bibliographic information?
