  • Re: Slow Display While Typing

I'm not sure about the others, but in my situation, most of my note documents have quite a few notes in them (anywhere from 30-50 distinct notes on verses all located in 1 big note for the book of the bible). My typing becomes slow pretty much as soon as I start typing a new verse entry in the note. Does that make sense? Looks clear as mud to me, but

Mine at first seemed to be faster with 4.0c, but now it too is very slow.

Oh the simple explanations are the most embarrassing!!! But many thanks Steve, Praiser and Milford. I appreciate it.

That may be something you want to call Logos on because I definitely have it so you should too. The info on the file is: LLS:1.0.502 2010-01-07T01:47:11Z RVR60.logos4

That looks like the right one. Mine came as part of a set so I didn't buy it separately, but I'm pretty sure that's it. One thing you should note, The Reina-Valera uses an older version of Spanish than some of the newer translations (i.e. the Old King James vs NIV today). Depending on your level of Spanish, you may struggle a bit more with the Reina

Hi Seth, I'm not sure about all of the Spanish Bibles that Logos has, but I own: Nueva Versión Internacional Reina Valera Revisada 1960 Reina-Valera Actualizada Reina-Valera 1995 La Biblia de las Américas Nueva Biblia de los Hispanos Of all of these, the only one with a Reverse Interlinear is the Reina Valera Revisada 1960. I understand that soon Logos

  • Re: Double Documents???

I had thought that I had the latest version (it's set to do automatic updates) and I assumed that Logos wouldn't send out beta versions as automatic updates but I could be wrong. The version that I have is 4.0b SR-1 (4.02.3.7704). Would this be the beta version with the problems you mentioned?

  • Re: Double Documents???

I'm not sure. I know that every time I opened logos the index bubble would pop up for a few seconds then go away. So I went to the command bar and typed in "Merge Index" (which was weird because I just rebuilt my index from scratch by deleting all the files last week). But anywho I typed in the merge index command and it said "merging indexes" and 2

Okay I just checked the data folder and it only has the one (5mz.....). I was feeling particularly bold last night and I just went ahead and deleted the second folder and so far haven't had any ill affects (though I did have to merge indexes).

  • Re: Double Documents???

Hi Richard, I think you may be right with the the note files AND markups causing it. I have a ton of both of them and that is probably the main culprit. As for your question, I haven't changed user names nor uninstalled/reinstalled nor purchased resources with a different ID. Weird huh? I'm wondering if I should/could just delete the second folder but

  • Double Documents???

I've noticed that recently (I think about the time I imported all my notes from L3) my opening and changing of layouts has become very, very slow. (One layout of 6 books takes over a minute and another layout of two books takes 30 seconds). I thought maybe something got corrupted and figured I'd just delete the layout files and recreate them and see

  • Note Sorting

I searched high and low before I posted and couldn't find this specific problem in the forum, but I apologize if this is a duplicate. I just imported all my notes from L3 to L4 with no problems. Everything went smooth and all the notes imported in canonical order. (All of my notes are attached to Bible verses). However, with new notes, I can't get them

  • Re: Resource Metadata Correction proposals

In all honesty I'm probably too lazy to do it, but my point remains. If I have 15 or 20 collections with each collection between 20 and 100 resources, it's going to be hard to remember which collection has which books. Manually adding or deleting isn't a problem if you know the tag has changed. But if you don't know the tag is changed, how would you

  • Re: Resource Metadata Correction proposals

Well, maybe I'm alone on this, but if there is no way to know, then changing anything seems like a really bad idea. Am I the only one concerned about all the hours of creating customized collections being wasted and having to start over from scratch every time there is a new sync on just the off chance that my collections have changed? I don't mean

  • Re: Resource Metadata Correction proposals

I'm sure somebody probably already mentioned this and I just missed it, but as I understand it, when Logos makes these metadata corrections, they will be rolled out automatically via a sync. If this is true, won't that cause major changes to custom made collections? How will I know if a book has been added or deleted from a custom collection? I suppose
