  • Re: iPhone/iPad BHS not showing correct information in Lookup

Hi. I am pretty frustrated with this issue as well as I used the iPad mainly to read the Hebrew Bible. I guess Logos knew the bugs are there but they are not priorities to them, as not many of the Logos users are using the iPad this way. Anyway, I have a few Hebrew Bibles in my iPad and to my experience BHS 4.2 usually return the correct Lookup information

  • Re: Still no Search with Hebrew Vowel Pointing??

Thanks for the supplement. So at least if I am desperate, I could go and search the unicode out to do the search. But still it is too troublesome. One does not expect you need Unicode knowledge in additional to original language to execute a proper search in such an expensive application. Maybe what I expect is at least some proper reply from the company

  • Re: Still no Search with Hebrew Vowel Pointing??

This is unacceptable to me. I remember this is the very first bug that I reported inn logos 4 and at that time somebody at logos promised to look at it. But now it is already logos 5. Searching vowel points should be very easy to deal with, just like the exact search being handled by libronix. Therefore, it is only a priority issue and logos look like

  • Re: Word Study via iOS

Dear Tommy, I guess this is a bug similar to this one. http://community.logos.com/forums/t/49321.aspx I have posted it two months ago but did not attract enough attention from your colleagues. If it is possible, please have a look at it. Thanks.

  • Hebrew Bible Word study - unable to show link to BDB in definition

When I use the Lookup function for a word in Hebrew Bible, and then click Look up, and further the Bible Word Study button, many of the words could not find a definition at all. For example, בחר (to choose) in Gen 6:2, see the screenshot below: Using AFAT, hold and click בָּחָרוּ, Click lookup, Logos return correct root, morphology and english translation

  • Re: Hebrew Display

Dave, Thanks for all the work to fix the Hebrew vowel marks on 1.7.0. However, I discovered another bug related to Hebrew Display in the Bible Reference Pop Up. If I have selected AFAT as my Preferred Bible, and when I clicked any Bible reference, the Hebrew Bible was showing incorrectly from left to right. See the screen capture below. Gen 40:15 is

  • Re: Hebrew Display

seems in version 1.5 the font problem is not that bad. Also, logos's competitor in Mac also developed an iOS version of the software and the hebrew font is perfectly ok. Could we see a fix in the near future?

  • Bug: Hebrew vowel points misplaced in 1.6.0

Read AFAT regularly using Ipad but after update to 1.6.0, most of the vowel points shifted leftwards and some of them even look like the dots of the left-side alphabet. But anyway 1.6.0 is a major improvement, especially the split screen. Thanks Logos! See attached picture:

Seems it is still not fixed in beta 7. Unticked "Match all word forms".

  • BUG: Hits in Chinese search appear slowly on screen (4.0b Beta 7)

I guessed it is not a new issue in 4.0b Beta 7 because I just switched to beta yesterday. I tried to do some Chinese search and have found that it is significantly slower than English Search. An example is to search 約翰 in the Chinease Union Bible (Traditional Script) using Bible search. After pressing the enter key, each hit slowly appearing one by

Kevin, I did not install beta and just curious to know if this release has fixed the Hebrew search problem which incorrectly ignore the vowel points I mentioned in http://community.logos.com/forums/t/8737.aspx

  • Hebrew exact search

Having gone through some of the older forum posts and it seems that the keyword exact() in L3 is being replaced by unticking "Match all word forms" in the L4 search panel. However, when I tried to search exactly the word עֹז (with holem on the ayin) in AFAT, L4 always return 53 hits with all sorts of עז. Result does not differ whether you tick the match
