• Re: Reasons why we still use L3 ... so keep on giving us new resources ... please!
Perhaps if we all articulate why we still use L3, we might get Bob to change his mind about not creating any more new resources for it.
It is more realistic to articulate why you prefer Logos 3 and ask Logos to make a real effort to address Logos 4's shortcomings in a reasonable and public timeframe.

  • The Didache

Now that we have "The Didache" by O'Loughlin in publication It would be great to move the Philip Schaff Collection into development to obtain the volume "The Teaching of the Twelve Apostles, or the Oldest Church Manual, the Didache and Kindred Documents"

This edition covers the original content up to AD 590, I really love the way that so many early sources are being pushed through CP.
I have been pondering this same question for awhile now. I want to spend it wisely, but I have a tendency to spend "free" money (such as gift cards) frivolously. ..... 10. The ESV, I cannot see an option for prioritising non bible resources in the app.

  • Re: Major Update to Early Church Fathers

This represents a real improvement, the formatting is much better all round and the hyperlinking is superb, for instance references to the Iliad just pop up and can be jumped to at will. This is everything an electronic resource should be and it really rewards having a completely Logos librray rather than picking and choosing formats. I am really grateful

  • Mormon Studies Collection On community pricing. Oh my word! How cool is this, where else but Logos could you get such a marvelous resource without any risk that a penny will go to the LDS. This is really exiting.
I am just amazed that people feel the need to defend and refute on this site. I understand that the content of our software leads us to think about religion, to include, to exclude. But this site is not about that. Most of us don't go through our day, checking who is Catholic/Protestant/Pentecostal/Mormon/Atheist/Hindu as
As Flew did not (according to my understanding) become a Christian I do not see Flew as a particularly useful case study. It is always interesting to listen the Greg Bahnsen's "Great Debate

  • American Vision Collection

Has anyone who ordered the American Vision Collection on pre-pub (Go Bahnsen !!) actually received it yet? I have not been charged but wonder if there is a problem with my card.

Ok now this is winding me up, this collection was not cheap but when I am looking at Bahnsen's "Presuppositional Apologetics" there are numerous links to Van Til's works (which are available in Logos) but they are not hyperlinked. It was my undertanding that such linking was why Logos books cost so much and if they are not linked during production then

Westminster Seminary has many hours of Van Till lectures on iTunes Universtity where you can hear the old guy hold forth in an incredibly engaging fashion, it is very accessable and a great way to dip your toes into the mindblowing revelation that is presupositional apologetics, it is very challenging stuff but whether you agree with it or not (and
I agree, I don't even understand the rational behind copyrighting a Bible Reading Plan. I mean book yet, but a reading plan? But I emailed the church anyway.
The Works of Charles Wesley (22 vols.) is currently $90. Who in the world places such ridiculous price.
$90 is cheap, people pay double that for half the volumes on pre-pub, people low balling valuable resources is killing community pricing.

  • Re: The Works of Charles Wesley (22 vols.) PLEASE LOWER BIDS UNTIL IS NOT TOO LATE

My worry is that very worthy resources get stuck because people are not making what I see as a realistic (i.e. that will balance demand and cost) bids, of course people must bid no more than they would be willing to pay but I believe people are bidding much less than they are willing to pay due to the prevailing attitude that any bid over $40 is madness

I am not saying that non trinitarians cannot be wonderful people, but if Logos is to have any Christian credibility at all the trinity is where it really has to draw the line at where it will publish in anything but an apologetical or historical sense. The best sermon is Edwards "Sinners in the hands of an angry God", the worst is one that I have sat through was where the Priest explained to us that if God judged people then we should refuse to worship him, I seem to recall that he quoted from Desmond Tutu to support this position.
Sorry to say that Jesus was not preincarnate, if he was then many things that Jesus spoke that are recorded by John in the Gospel of John are contradictory to John's prologue, because if he was then there would be many others as well, all according to Scripture. But this is not a theological issue, purely Scripture. [/quote

It was written in order for he king to know what he could tax, for that reason it was not entirely welcome to those whose Property was recorded, it's name was only applied later and derived from he finality of the judgement contained therein much like the last judgement recorded in Revelation, or the doomsday.
