Hi Timothy, I don't see this as a benefit? If you cancel your subscription (which you are already paying for) and then still have to purchase the feature set, aren't you still paying more than you would have if you had just bought the feature set outright? You would pay your subscription, plus the discounted price?
Nicky
in fact, it will probably work out cheaper just to buy the feature set, because the subscription costs could rise again within a 2 year period. There really isn't anything that tempts me into Logos Now... more the opposite. (Sorry Logos)
I own the features of Logos 6 but decided to subscribe to Logos Now to get the features

I've subscribed to Logos Now because it appears to me that the cost of an annual membership is always going to be cheaper than buying full feature sets every couple of years. And obviously LN membership has other benefits. Some say they want to be able to leave Logos as a full-featured tool to someone else someday. If I give someone my Logos library

Thanks for your time and help, Dave. I've tried repairing Logos and will see if the problem persists.

I manually registered the smart tag successfully about 2:30 PM, then when trying to use it, Word 2013 froze. I forced Word to close and then closed Logos at around 2:50 PM and was unable to open it. Since then I have rebooted and started Logos with no problem. I just did the registration manually again successfully. This time I didn't have Logos open

Sadly, I can't make the Powershell script or registering manually work. (Previously both worked for me.) Registering manually results in the message that the smart tag is registered successfully. But when I attempt to use the smart tag, Word freezes, and when I close Logos it sometimes won't reopen without rebooting the computer.

  • Re: Adding web articles to library

Maybe this isn't the best way, but I make a separate personal book for each article. I copy and paste the article into Notepad to strip out the formatting, then copy and paste into Word. After bolding the title and headings and checking Bible reference format, it's ready to make into a personal book. The entire process takes less than five minutes.
We've created a Windows PowerShell script (the modern equivalent of a Command Prompt batch file) to register Logos COM and Logos Smart Tags for 32 bit Office. On most Windows versions, PowerShell comes with script execution disabled by default, so if you haven't already, you'll need to set the PowerShell execution policy
