I paused the indexing to see if that was the culprit but L4 in version 4.5 is running the processor over 50% the whole time and everything has slowed to a crawl. Is there something else going on that needs to finish? I am letting it sit for a while to see if it goes back to normal. Otherwise it is unusable in this state.

I checked the file and everything works on my end. I downloaded it from this post and then opened the zip file. I then dragged and dropped the .exe file to bookmark #4 in favorites (you can use any bookmark you like). I then opened a resource in a tab and pressed ctrl + 4 (choose the number of the bookmark you select in place of the #4) on the keyboard

looks like there are two things happening. The file itself may not have copied to the server correctly or did not compile correctly. I'll check this tomorrow. Also you need to create a keyboard shortcut to the file and launch it from the keyboard shortcut while you are in Logos. The way it works is that when you are in Logos and have a resource open

Did you create the shortcut file and assign a keyboard shortcut to it? It will not do anything if you just click on the exe file. If this does not solve the problem let me know and I'll check into it in the next few days.

Can someone give me a programming example for how to use PanelOpened(Panel : Object) from the COM API? Your help is appreciated.

Try this script I threw together. It works great on mine so far. Be aware that It could on occassion fail to make a copy and float the original window since this is a macro and I have the timing set pretty tight to make it quick. I only just created this but it works fine so far. Let me know it it needs to be tweaked. Just unzip the file then create
It doesn't necessarily matter if you return hundreds of thousands of results if you have a good query, and your results are Ranked or By Count. The best results should come to the top.
What is the difference in functionality between By Count and By Title? Obviously both show the titles. COuld you explain why one would

I tried recreating the shortcut to the external app and then putting it back in the shortcut bar. The shortcut as it appears in the file manager has no shortcut arrow in the lower left corner but as soon as I put it in the shorcut bar the arrow is there. I do not want to drag the app exe file itself there (I'm assuming this is what you mean by "this

Does anyone know how to or if it is possible to remove the shortcut overlay in the shortcut icons on the ribbon? I tried using a manual approach in registry and just tried a program designed to do this. It works great for all other shortcuts except those in L4. Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply. Before I started indexing I just wanted to be sure there wasn't another option. I think I will just rebuild the entire index since it can run overnight while I sleep.

Indexing started on my computer for a new resource I downloaded. Shortly after this I had an unrelated problem and had to do a system restore. I don't know if the indexing was finished at that point but I closed all programs including L4 and did a system restore. The restore worked perfectly but now I have a yellow message on my search window saying

I have some resources that are mytagged with more than one mytag. I want to change the name of just one of those mytags. I was going to just click on the mytag header in the library and then open the tag I want to change, selct the all and then change the tag name but then I realized that you only have the option to clear the tags when selcting more

Never mind I figured it out. You can jump to a bookmark using ctrl + bookmark # so if you create a shortcut using a bookmark you have a keyboard shortcut.

I would like to be able to activate one of the shortcuts I created on the ribbon in the main window using a keyboard shortcut combination. It seems to me that I recently read a post where you could do this somehow using bookmarks. Does anyone have any idea how this might be done if possible.
In the meantime I am going to create a favorites folder called Search Categories and fill it with a links to automatically search on the current query in whatever category I click on. This is not as convenient as Cited By but comes close.
Here is what I came up with as an alternative: To create the links I did a search

I thought it could be either a sparate tool that is like Cited By but works with words and phrases OR it could be a redesign of the current Cited By to allow it to accept search queries. In the meantime I am going to create a favorites folder called Search Categories and fill it with a links to automatically search on the current query in whatever category

It occured to me that it might be handy to have a tool that works just like Cited By but works with words and phrases rather than scripture. When we do a search we can see the results of one collection at a time. Cited By does the same thing but allows you to quickly see the top hits quickly in each collection you choose. Wouldn't it be handy to have
It could be an option e.g. quick compile and index to get the PB working then index with the rest of your Library.
Good idea! I personally don't mind the indexing. If there is a lot to index I just let it do it's thing in the evening while I sleep. But most of the time with this laptop I have now it is pretty quick

Right now the Personal Books are in a separate section from the rest of the library in a search. Is the team working on making PBs part of the general library so that they show up ranked in a search along with the rest of the books in the library (perhaps just as an option)? I would like to see the PBs in a ranked search as part of the whole library
