I like the new Bible Book Explorer tool and have noted what you've said. It seems to me that following common classification that Job, Ps, Pr, Ec, So should be classified as Kind = Wisdom . Then Subkind could identify those that are Poetry. Poetry is a style of writing whereas Wisdom refers to the content.

I have experienced this for years. I use Logos on a laptop and often do not have wifi. Eventually the sync shows the exclamation, but when restoring internet, no amount of clicking sync now will cause the sync to work. I have just two or three times seen Logos reestablish the sync automatically, but it has been rare. The only solution I have found is

I speak and travel internationally using a Lenovo Yoga with a hi-res 13" screen and i7 which easily fits in my medium shoulder bag with the rest of my stuff. The 900 is my second Yoga and I have been very satisfied with both. My wife still uses the original Yoga. Unfortunately this is probably outside of your $700 price range. From what I have noticed

Thanks to Daniel for clarifying about ownership of the HCSB. I never purchased it individually but it has been in my library for years (decades?). So I am going to assume that it qualifies for the free CSB. Ben

Thanks for 7.0. Logos has been an essential program on every computer I've owned for 20 years--and it is usually up and running. I've read the Bible through several times with my own Reading Plans and would not be able to count the sermons, lessons and articles that have used material from Logos Resources. I like the attention to detail, such as the

You typed "abideith" but I assume you meant "abideth." I get 30 hits in the AV for "abideth" and 128 hits with "abid*". You are correct that a search for "abide" with "match all forms" will not find "abideth." That should be reported to Logos. Ben

Thanks for the info. I tried this and then realized I don't have a Logos Now subscription to try it out. The "Speaker" part works but not the "Addressee". In time . . . Ben

Nice find. I've actually wanted to quickly change versions in the hit list, but didn't know about that. I wonder when it was added? Ben

Although CBV works on whole verses, you can paste the whole verse in the format you want and delete the parts you don't need in Word. Probably just as easy as selecting the phrases you want in L6. Ben

I do like the new home page in L6. However, would it be possible to: 1) Reorder the content just like the Sidebar. There are things I want to see in the Content panel without having to scroll down. 2) Allow at least some items to move from the content Panel to the Sidebar panel. One item I would like to move to the Sidebar is a devotional. Still enjoying

Thanks for the helpful tip about the Alt key. I can certainly see the value of the Smart Text Selection but there are times when the selection I want does not agree with the selection Logos wants. Ben
-
Thank you for putting this together. Because this is produced from a manuscript I assume there will be some variations between them. Having looked this up online occasionally, it will be nice to have it right in Logos when needed. Ben

I have a Yoga with Windows 8.1. If you press the little arrow under the top left book icon it will open a menu where you can choose "Show reading view." To get out of this view, just tap anywhere along the top edge of the screen. The same icon will show up, press the little arrow to open the menu and then uncheck "Show reading view." Ben

My daily Bible reading is in the F11 Reading screen. I use PgDn on the keyboard to turn the pages. I've found that PgDn and PgUp give me more precise page turns than the arrow keys. If using my tablet I tap the right arrow at the bottom right of the screen. If you are using multiple resources linked together, you should set up a special Layout with

I switched to OO from WordPerfect, but changed to LibreOffice about a year ago and am quite satisfied. No problem copying and pasting from L5. You should take care with styles because some of the styles will copy over to LO with formatting you may not want. You can always just use plain text or (Ctrl-Alt-Shift-V in LO). Ben

I upgraded to L5 Bronze from L4 Scholars plus a few other resources I had purchased. After that the Minimal Crossgrade was only about $6 based on my resources. That is how I got the BSL. I don't think the idea of "levels" works anymore. What you are buying is a package of resources at a big discount. There are lots of posts discussing the upgrade topic

I use LibreOffice 3.x and 4.0 and have never seen your results in either Normal Paste or Special Paste. The only issue I've seen is that when pasting another language into LO I have to mark it as another language in LO so the spellchecker doesn't flag it. In 4.0 there is a drop down on the bottom status bar that will change it without using menus. Ben

I do not see any problem with Text Comparison of multiple Bibles in 5.0a SR4 (not on beta channel). Ben

Just want to add that on my laptop the flickering tab will nearly freeze L5. My desktops to not do this although I have a lot more space on the screen. I don't want to be a beta tester so I hope this is fixed soon for the rest of us. A lot of my notes are prepared on the laptop and it can be a problem when under time pressure.. Ben
Does the NIV84 happen to be your preferred Bible? (We had a bug in the beta that caused your preferred Bible to not be updated correctly; other customers have reported that the ESV wasn't updated and I'm wondering if a similar bug has returned.)
Yes, NIV84 is my preferred Bible. This could be a similar
