I used to just search for a person and the family tree would come up. Where is it now? Can't find it.

My current Macbook Pro from 2013 is in its last days. I'm going to keep using it until I can't anymore, but I was thinking the next time I get Mac hardware, I'd get the base Macbook instead of the Pro. However, I can't be using any computer that's dog slow. I remember the early days of Logos for the Mac on my iBook. It was so slow it hurt my feelings

Ok, I lived dangerously. As of now, Logos works fine. Haven't had an application show any problems yet. Apps I've used... Logos Scrivener Ulysses Bartender 3 Popclip Canary Mail MS Word, Excel and Power Point Alfred 3 Backblaze Setapp Logos obviously doesn't have dark mode implemented yet.

Has anyone tried the MacOS Mojave Public Beta? Yes, I know all the disclaimers, don't use it on your main machine, it's not ready for prime time, etc. Some of us like to live dangerously, but like others to live dangerously first. If any of you have put it on your machine, please let us know if it's Logos friendly.
-
Has anyone tried the public beta? Wondering of Logos is functional.
-
Any of you using Logos 6 on one of those fancy new MacBooks? The specs on them are pretty low. Just wondering how they perform running such a beefy program. I'd love to get one next time instead of a Macbook Pro.

You guys rock! Thanks!

Sorry if this issue has been discussed previously, but I'm having trouble selecting text. If I want to select the last few verses of one paragraph and the first few verses of the next paragraph, Logos selects the entirety of both paragraphs. This is a real pain. Any work around? Am I doing anything wrong?

I booted up Logos today and was greeted with a 2.21 GB download. Is there any way to find out what's downloading? Thanks!

That's a relief, John. I have a 15 inch now and love it, except for the fact that I've had it in to the Apple Store for repairs twice in the last three months. Then, this morning I encountered another problem and Apple Care has run out. Ugh. I just wish this machine would keep on working! As much as I would LOVE new hardware, I just hate to think about
-
Considering getting a new MBP, but I don't think I'll be able to afford the 15 inch. I may be able to get away with a 13 inch if Logos plays well with is. Does Logos 5 support retina displays? Do you have a 13 inch? What is your experience running Logos 5 on it?
-
Just read that Mavericks will be available for free today. I can't upgrade unless Logos 5 is ready for it. Any ideas? Thanks!
-
Just discovered something. When I'm not online, there's no problem. Could this be a synching issue?
-
I'm running L5.1a SR-1 on Mac OS 10.8.5 and it is maxing out the CPU (all eight cores). I see no indication that it is indexing. I've closed Logos and reopened it and have the same problem. Any ideas? Is this a known issue?
-
Awesome! Thanks Jack!
-
Is there any way to export a word list or copy it into a spreadsheet? I use Mental Case to study flashcards and would prefer to import the words into that program.
-
Never mind. I paused indexing and restarted it. Now see % complete.
-
My status bar says Logos is indexing, but I usually see the % complete. It just says "Indexing" right now. Is something wrong?

I agree with Michael that Mellel is a great solution. It got me through my OT classes in seminary. However, I'm an even bigger fan of Scrivener. If you write sermons or large projects regularly, it is a great solution. It does a very good job of handling Hebrew as well. You can get a free trial from their website, and it's also available on the App

Honestly, I wonder how much simpler things could get. It seems to me that your needs can be met by simply using the Passage Guide and the Exegetical Guide. If those are too complex, then you can always make your own guide that has everything in it that you want to look at. Logos 4 is as simple as you want to make it.
