• Re: Was Judas present when Christ instituted Communion?

If you're truly interested in the Lutheran position on close communion (close as opposed to far), I suggest you peruse this brief pdf file: www.lcms.org/Document.fdoc?src=lcm&id=411 1Corinthians 11 is indeed, the place to seek. Logos has some great commentaries, which cover that area, as well and come from Lutheran publishers. A low cost version is

  • Re: Catholic Users

Slightly off topic here, but I would like to see a Lutheran Scholar's Library, in similar fashion to the Catholics. For example, many of the resources of Northwestern Publishing House and Concordia Publishing House could be included in the package base price. Of course, there are plenty of supporting resources like BDAG/HALOT, which could be included
Do you use strictly the iPad or do you use the Kindle if you plan on doing lots of reading?
Scott, I have both. Honestly, my Kindle sits next to my chair, not being used. My iPad is used every day, many times per day. I have purchased books on the iPad, just to read. I find the experience much easier and the buttons

  • ESV Bible Atlas

I have decided that I will accept if Logos gets the ESV Bible Atlas available. I sure could have answered some questions in Bible class today, had I had that available as a resource.

  • Re: Roman seal on Christ's tomb

I spoke to my Adult Bible Study class today, about the Roman seals. Somebody asked me if they used seals everywhere and I told them, "No". The problem was only in Caesarea Maritima, where the only thing available was Harbor Seals.

  • Roman seal on Christ's tomb

Does anybody know of a great Logos resource for finding out specifically about the Roman seal on the tomb? I had specific questions in my Matthew Bible Study about how the seal would be able to keep anybody out and how it would prove anything. I imagine it was like a lead fishing weight, in which it gets crimped onto a wire or something, going through

I have been having more fun than a person should be allowed to have...without going to confession. My son set up a server at our house using RDP client on my iPad. Seems simple and works great. Only cost around $3.99 or so. Since I am not using the iPad app, but am getting into my "real" L4, I thought I could use copy there and then paste into Pages

  • Please update Concordia Commentaries

I have the set of Concordia Commentaries. Recently, they added two books: Amos and Proverbs. They have been in L4 for weeks, but are not yet in my iPad or iPhone. Please do whatever it takes, to release them. Concordia sent me the serial number and I called your customer service to get them active. Now all they need is releasing into my devices. Thanks

  • Re: iPad app that slaves your pc?

The research I did online says they all are good. My issue is with my laptop (where I have L4) automatically goes into sleep mode. There is some inconsistency in what the comments say about for example, Logmein. If I try to log in from work on my iPad, if my laptop goes into sleep mode, can I wake it up and login?

  • Ipad: did you go wifi or include 3g?

Looking at an iPad for my birthday in January. My primary purpose is Logos4 and the ability to type up Sunday adult Bible classes. Did most of you, who got iPads, choose the wifi only, or get the wifi and 3G? If wifi only, does your church have a wifi network? Also: is the wireless keyboard worth it? Better brands? Thanks.

Mike (or Michael)- My Toshiba laptop is going on 3 years old this coming spring. No problems, no repairs. The only thing is that Windows 7 works fine, but with all the updates and reboots, sometimes the laptop gets hung. Runs Logos4 fine. No problems, no hangups. As a matter of fact, I find the match to be a great one. I often open Powerpoint and copy
