  • Re: German Dictionary: How much interest?

Here is a link: Phil Gons (Faithlife) | Forum Activity | Replied : Thu, Feb 4 2010 5:20 PM Russ Quinn: Of course, the ideal would be to have Oxford-Duden but it is not public domain. That one's on the list, but until we can get it, perhaps a public domain dictionary would be sufficient. Anything is better than our current offerings. :)

Yes, please! This has been asked for for many years. I think somewhere in the Fora (plural of forum) Phil Gons posted that the need has been considered.

  • Re: NA28 4th Corrected Printing

Thank you for this latest, Kyle. One of the many reasons I give thanks for Logos Bible Software is the continual updating that takes place, (Another reason is the fact that I can have multiple copies of the same book open on screen at the same time, which is a great convenience. But I digress )

So did I. And with dynamic pricing I got the rest of the ICC for a very small amount, not to mention a number of other treasures. The Academic Professional package can be a tremendously good deal!

  • Re: My Mother has Cancer. Please pray.

Hi, Chris. It occurs to me that in addition to all our prayers from a distance, so to speak, you might like to talk with one of the Chaplains at the Hospital. At least, many medical facilities have chaplains on staff. I think I remember from one of your previous posts that you don't have a congregation nearby to walk with you. May the peace of Christ

  • Re: Is there a Academic Platinum?

I don't think there is an "Academic Platinum", but I am very excited by my now week-old "Academic Professional". Thanks to dynamic pricing and an ongoing sale at the time I was able to swing this purchase and I am more than satisfied. • Re: Why Was Jesus Baptized in the Jordan River?

For those of you considering travel/study in "The Land", I suggest you check out St. George's College in Jerusalem ( https://www.saintgeorgescollegejerusalem.com/type/2019-programs/ ) and the Tantur Ecumenical Institute ( https://tantur.org/enrichment-renewal-programs/ ). Neither is explicitly "evangelical", so you may want to cast your net more widely

  • Re: My Mother has Cancer. Please pray.

Chris, I'm one more praying for your Mom and you and the rest of your family. I'll add that like Rosie's Dad, I'm now in my 80's, have had several skin cancers removed, and have been living well with lymphoma since 2002. So "cancer" is not necessarily a death sentence. And much more importantly, the reality of life in Christ can become much more palpable

Thank you very much, M.J. I'm out of my depth, but as a non-techie and (almost) lifelong student of Hebrew, and therefor a debtor to Andersen-Forbes, this is truly fascinating.

While we're talking commentaries on John, don't overlook C.K. Barrett: https://www.logos.com/product/46707/gospel-according-to-john I did what Rich is doing, only with the first edition of Barrett back in the early 1960's. ( Tempus fugit )
