Rather than sending this to sales, I would send the email to suggest@logos.com
There is no point in sending emails if they are not being replied to. I should probably send it to Bob. :-)
What is your native language?
Romanian

Whom do I need to contact at Logos to get a Bible in my native language added to Logos. I wrote an email to sales on February 13th regarding this, but no one at Logos has answered it yet. I guess Logos does not answer emails that are written on the 13th. Must be bad luck. I will do my best to help Logos make it happen.
You can work around this problem by deleting the Logos\Documents\<random>\LocalUserPreferences\ folder
How feasible is it to move this folder to a different location (Logos\System for example)?
The identifier for the installation is stored in the local preferences as part of the installation. Here is the very long story. Old installation computer - Computer A New installation computer - Computer B Install Logos beta 3 on Computer B Select Custom installation and uncheck “Automatically Download Updates” Change the installation folder to C:\Bible Study\ Close the Logos program/Sign-in window after the installation has finished

Hi Andrew,
You absolutely should be able to maintain two separate configurations of downloaded resources on two different machines.
Let's make sure we are talking about the same thing here. Installations on two different computers do maintain two independent lists of resources if the new installation
Quick check on 8.3 from/to the same device shows you have to get rid of the Sign-in window using Task Manager in Step 2, else Logos will go thru "Download Your Logos 8 Library".
Yes. After killing the Sign-in window once the setup is finished, Method 2 seems to be working fine with just one issue. Let's say the original
Adding a SSD to your system is probably the most significant upgrade you can make to improve the performance of Logos.
I've added a SSD just for Logos and, not surprisingly, indexing is faster.
Do you mean that the message stays after you restarted?
Yes, the message was there and the same after multiple restarts.

Yes, the message is there and the same after multiple restarts.

Not an issue on my laptop. I should have saved the logs. If it happens again i will make sure I'll save the logs.
-
Unfortunately, I don't have the logs. It was always the same message: "Resources are ready to be added to your Library. They will be added after restart". Can't recall the exact message. Same message after every restart.

Beta 3 is still doing it. I got the Logos 8 basic and "Brand New: A 40-Day Guide" was supposed to be added to my library but it wasn't. I kept getting the same message after restarting Logos. In the end I deleted the downloaded resource from ResourceManager\Downloaded. It gave an error after restart. I clicked on Retry and it was OK after that. I am

Hi Dave,
Method 3 would require more clarification, but it is still viable e.g.
Yes, method 3 is still viable but requires indexing. Still better than downloading a ton of data from Logos. Method 2 might work as well but I don't know enough about the new features and how those might complicate issues with method 2.

Mike,
Neither of the alternative methods are something I would try other than in extremis.
I've done it many times and it worked like a charm. :-) Downloading 30G of data may not be as big of a problem now as it used to be, but still there are plenty of users who are using Logos in places where internet/bandwidth availability

Up until recently it was pretty easy to install Logos on multiple computers running Windows without having to download tons of data from Logos and also avoiding indexing on the new computers. It seems to me that the new setup process will make it more complicated to use the processes listed at https://wiki.logos.com/quick_installation_onto_multiple_computers

What about the issue I mentioned above? "I removed different resources on the two different desktops/laptops I was using and after two Logos restarts both ended up downloading the resources I had removed previously so I ended up with the same resources on both Windows machines. I retested it today and the same thing happened. Maybe someone else can

No. Windows.

Got that myself a few times. I went into the Resources/Downloaded folder and deleted the resource in that folder. I restarted Logos and got an Error message. Restarted it one more time and everything was fine.
