  • Re: Please help - question about the BHQ

FYI, Judges is now in Logos BHQ. Currently, it has Deuteronomy, Judges, Ruth, Proverbs, Canticles, Qoheleth, Lamentations, Esther, Ezra, and Nehemiah. It's still missing the Minor Prophets.

  • Re: Why is there No Dynamic Pricing for some products, particularly those by Zondervan?

Assuming you bought those other Zondervan products direct from Logos, I believe if you talk to a sales representative, you can buy the bundle and return the products that you had already owned. I think I've done this before. They're willing to extend the return policy if you're just going to buy it again.

  • Re: Logos Needs to Allow "A La Carte" Purchases

I agree. I want the Commandments of the Law for $5.99, but as it is, I don't see enough value in spending hundreds on a Logos 7 package. Unfortunately, the Logos marketing strategy has always been to bundle items in order to force people to buy things they don't want in order to get the item(s) that they really want.

  • Re: English Bible Collection (27 vols.) - THIS REALLY NEEDS A PUSH!!!!!

[quote user="Sean"] For me, this illustrates a problem with many of the community pricing offerings: the bundles are too big with too much filler. If this were half or a quarter the size with just the more important Bibles like Geneva, Wycliffe, Tyndale, and a few others, I might pay $15 or $20 for it. But $30 for a bunch of versions I will likely never

  • Re: Understanding BestCommentaries.com Scores

The other thing that I don't like about BestCommentaries.com is that it doesn't classify commentaries. It says nothing about what commentary is the best for a given audience. In contrast, Longman's work classifies commentaries as being for pastors, scholars, or laypeople. Richard Bauckham has the best commentary on 2 Peter/Jude -- great for students

  • Re: Understanding BestCommentaries.com Scores

I don't use BestCommentaries.com. The main problem with it is that they don't classify who recommends the commentaries. So, Carson's commentary on John is well-acclaimed among Reformed and Evangelical list-makers. The reason he scores so high is because the vast majority of the lists used on BestCommentaries.com are Reformed and/or Evangelical. And
