• Re: BUG: Passage List

Thanks for your help, everybody. I found what was wrong: Passage List does not let you enter the same verse twice. I'm going through a workbook, and entering all the verses from a given chapter. They are organized by topic, which I'm separating using headings. However, some verses appear under more than one topic, and Logos won't let me enter the same

  • Re: Memorize Tool (Long Passages)

I found this discussion because I, too, was looking for a way to do memorization on a long passage instead of one verse at a time. LOGOS, PLEASE ADD THIS FEATURE! Working on one verse at a time makes it difficult to get the flow of the passage, which is really important for memorization!
I can enter the above exactly as stated and each verse is listed OK. No problem with Proverbs 12.18 either. Are you on Mac?
No, Windows 7. I enter it in the reference box, and it will recognize it and show the correct reference below, but then when I hit return, it doesn't add it to the list.

Also not working is Proverbs 15:4; 15:28; 21:23; 25:11; 26:22. Can anyone else duplicate this?

  • BUG: Passage List

When I try to enter "Proverbs 12:18" into the passage list, it won't appear. I can enter "Proverbs 12:17" or "Proverbs 12:19" or "Proverbs 12:18a", but not "Proverbs 12:18".
All the talk of access to everything for $9/month is getting right back to my original concern when I started this thread.
All this talk of $9 a month is beyond ridiculous. There's no way Logos could possibly offer those resources for that low. I doubt they could even offer any major commentary set for that cheaply. The only
The set is 14,000 pages in 35 volumes, so it is large and reasonably dense (compared to some sets where a few small volumes drag the average volume size down to less than 200 pages each). Seems to me $2 per volume is fair price, so I bid $80. For the size $50 seems a little on the light side in all fairness, public domain

I know some journal databases lets you have 24-hour access to a journal article for a few dollars. I would like something like that. For example, there's NO WAY I'm buying the Anchor Bible Commentary set for $1900. If it were half of that, I might consider, but still probably not. But if I could pay $5 to access one of those volumes for a day? Or $10

  • Re: Best Modern Commentary:Amillinial ?

I recommend Steve Gregg's Revelation, Four Views: A Parallel Commentary . It has a commentary on all the major views on Revelation, cites its sources well, and has a really nice annotated bibliography. A quick look in Jim Rosscup's Commentaries for Biblical Expositors gives the following amillennial commentaries: Isaiah: Motyer, Ostwalt, Young, Leupold

  • Re: Which Old Testament laws are for today?

I'm not trying to turn this into a discussion. I'm not interested in hermeneutical guidelines either. What I'm looking for is someone who has gone through the whole Pentateuch and marked some laws "applicable for today" and other laws "not applicable for today." If that person holds to the threefold division of the law and denoted it that way, so be

  • Which Old Testament laws are for today?

Is there a resource in Logos that has marked or otherwise annotated which laws on the Pentateuch are moral, ceremonial, and civil, or otherwise denoting which laws apply to Christians today?

  • Re: Did Jesus speak twice as much about hell as heaven?

I don't think the adage is true, but I noticed that people scrutinized the instances of "hell" more than "heaven." Jesus talked about the kingdom of heaven a lot, but not nearly as much as the word count would indicate. From a cursory search, the word for "heaven" in many cases simply means "sky," (i.e. Jesus looked up to the heavens), and by far the

Evangelical Press Study Commentary . Mentor Old Testament Commentary . Focus on the Bible Commentaries . R. C. Sproul Exposition Collection . Classics: Crossway Classic Commentaries

  • Re: Create own Bible

I've asked this before, and never got a good answer, so I'll ask it again. How do you get a Table of Contents that say "Chapter 1", "Chapter 2", "Chapter 3", etc. without putting "Chapter 1" in the text? Bibles from Logos are able to do this, but I haven't been able to duplicate this.
