  • Re: Skip Beta Full Logos 4

Whether L4 for Mac skips to 'beta' phase or not is merely an issue of semantics. The application still needs the feature set completing, it needs the bugs ironing out, and it still needs optimising for performance. What we call it during these stages makes little difference, it will still take the time it takes. In the mean time it's becoming more and

For the example below I created a visual filter on the Windows version to show every Greek verb in the aorist tense and typed 'Sync now' into the command bar of both versions

It's convinced me that a bigger monitor would be better. I like the additional real estate that setting the scaling at 80% provides, but I don't like the visual effect of everything being shrunk down and the glitches with the menu bar. ... now I need to convince my wife ...

  • Re: Auto pause indexing on battery power inhibits startup

I'm using Logos 4 on a Macbook using battery power right now. I think that with the update to A19 you will be unable to use L4 until the library has reindexed. So keep your laptop plugged in until Logos 4 has finished indexing. Then you can open Logos 4 and use it whether you are on battery power or not.

Hi Lee I've done a test for you: with the ESV set as preferred Bible on the ribbon on the Home Page a Bible Word Study on 'love' generates 458 Hebrew results and 286 Greek results. When the KJV is set on the Home Page, the same Bible Word Study generates 195 Hebrew results and 222 Greek results. As a result, it would seem that Bible Word Study does

  • A19.1 - Biblical Places - memory usage

I have found that Biblical places has been running very slowly with the new features implemented in A18 and A19. The reason seems to be that when Biblical Places is open and particularly when it is loading Logos 4 uses a *lot* of memory. Much of the time there is less than 5% free memory when viewed in the activity monitor. Is this how Biblical Places

  • Re: A20 (or 21) request

It seems that Logos 4 has been getting a little faster over the last few alphas in a lot of the areas that matter to me, so I believe that the team have been doing some optimisation. However, I understand that it is best to get the software feature complete in the alpha phase and bug fix/optimise in the beta phase. This reduces the risk of abortive

  • Re: Biblical People??

Biblical People is working. How long are you waiting before closing the window? L4 can run quite slowly at the moment. I waiting a bit doesn't help, then please post your logs (follow the link for reporting bugs below) and the Mac developers should be able to help you.

Great find! I think this was new with A19.1 because I'm sure it wasn't there with A19. You are correct: it is incomplete. Check out the video here from the Windows version to see what it can do.
