• Re: A14- Color feedback
Take a look at this shot, for example.
Ben, that's the one area where I agree that readability has been significantly affected and should be addressed by converting the font to black rather than just a darker grey. That issue aside, I prefer the contrast between the title bars and the darker window background versus the white

Sorry, Ben. I love the new colours. It's starting to feel more like a Mac program rather than a Windows port. Also, the greater contrast makes it much easier to pick out the different panels.
I am personally determined to make Logos 4 Mac usable on my Macbook.
That is excellent news. I love L4 already - even it it's alpha form - but it's close to painfully slow at times ... and I'm using a 2009 Aluminium Macbook. I still count it as a new computer. I hope that the speed issues will all go during the

If it's any consolation, you're not alone. I'm looking forward to this next release too. The last few alpha releases have included some exciting developments. Let's hope A14 doesn't disappoint ...

  • 13a - Keyboard Shortcuts and Focus

The Mac Alpha has reached to point where I find it useable on a daily basis. The one thing that I really struggle with, however, is the reliance on the use of the keyboard *and* the mouse. It would be really useful if: a) The focus of the cursor shifts to the logical next step following a command. So, for example, once the search dialog has been opened

  • A13a - Display Issue with ESV

There is a problem with the line spacing in the ESV every time 'Lord' is set in small caps to denote the Memorial Name. See the screenshot below:

May I weigh in on the 'cross or no cross' debate? I am a devout Christian who believes that too much is made of the cross by the majority of Christians. The important thing is not the cross, but the man who died on it. I would suggest that as L4 is about reading and studying books (yes, I know, Christian books) that the logo should include a book or

Add version is great with Bible search. Can you remove a version once it's added?

  • Re: A12-Context Menu Regression?

I too have noticed that the contextual menu is running very slowly now. It sometimes takes what seems like 30 seconds for the Manuscript/Lemma/Morph/Strongs entries to appear below the two standard items. Speed is an issue across the whole of L4 at the moment. I really hope this will be improved as it develops beyond the Alpha stage.

  • Re: Requests for Features in L4 for Mac. -- Footnotes and annotations in iWork 09

I know nothing about programming. So I don't know whether this helps, but the Mac OS X version of the Online Bible uses the OS X 'Services' menu to facilitate importing Bible passages into documents. This works in Pages. So I guess it should be possible to implement for L4 too.

  • Rendering Problem in A4

The panel that pops up when you right click on a word often floats half off the screen: On my MacBook I need to scroll the view until the word I'm interested in is nearly at the bottom of the screen before I get the whole panel.
