Welcome to the forum, Brandon. The development team will need your logs in order to find out what's happening. Please see the link to Joe's excellent post 'Guide for Reporting Bugs' below. This will step you through the process.

  • A16a - Biblical Things

This may be a known issue, but some images in Biblical Things are displayed at a very small scale and there seems to be no way to zoom in on them! See the screenshot below:
How long have you waited?
About ten minutes. The thing is that these resources were loading okay until recently (perhaps at A16a?). Also, even when the media-based resources were slow, the cross references would appear comparatively quickly. Now the cross references don't load up either. [quote user="David Mitchell

  • Re: A16a - Homepage not loading RSS feeds
You could try deleting your HomePage folder with L4 closed, and restart which should recreate the folder.
Done.
If that doesn't seem to do it try running the update resources command.
Also done. Still limited homepage items. Logs attached: 6064.Archive.zip

Now isn't this typical. I opened L4 immediately after posting the above and the home page loaded as it should do! ! ? I'll keep an eye on what happens and repost if this issue resurfaces. Thanks for your help Tommy.
I think they ought to drop the "Send to..." option in both Windows and Mac. Since there's more than one presentation program, just let the user copy and paste into his program of choice.
I don't agree, I'm afraid. PowerPoint and Keynote are by far the most popular slideware applications. The functionality exists within
check Activity Monitor to see if LogosIndexer process is still running
I've found that opening Logos4.log or Indexer.log in the Console is a good way to see whether the Indexer is really working or not. If it is, you can see the progress expressed as a percentage every now and again, which provides real reassurance

  • Working In One Window

This is something that has made working in Logos much easier for me. I hope it helps others too. If what I'm going to suggest is obvious to you all, then I'm sorry I'm behind the curve. I like the fact that L4 works in one window and have been frustrated that the Library, Biblical People, Biblical Places and Biblical Things open in a separate window

Alan - You're right. Collections are very much still a work in progress. Have a look at this post: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/14003.aspx
If you collapse the Biblical people, places and things sections in the passage guide until you need them things should speed up.
Is there a way of collapsing these before they've loaded up. This feels like a lit of a 'catch-22' situation ...
Is this a bug or is this feature not working yet?
It's not finished yet. Text Comparison only appeared in this simple form in A16. Let's hope it's improved in the next Alpha!
the oddity of time line prediction
Patrick, you're right. This is the problem. The development team are clearly 'once burned, twice shy' with regard to timescales. Actually, this is fine by me. Actions speak louder than words. So a significant new public alpha release every fortnight says a lot more than a tentative

  • Re: Alpha 17

Don't throw your Mac out of the window! Downloading resources can take a long time. It's hard to predict how long because of the inconsistency across internet connections. You will need to find out whether L4 is still downloading files or whether it has 'hung'. There are a couple of things you can do to check this: 1. Look in the right half of the menu

  • Re: A17 - Search Options on smaller screens

ooops, missed the last screenshot: As an aside I think it's worth noting that the L4 UI for drop down menus is significantly different to that shown above. Is this an area where the UI could be made more Mac-like?
The "hidden" resources no longer appear in your library.
This is a useful feature, but needs to be used with caution. The release notes indicate that with the present alpha, there's no way of 'unhiding' the resources once they're hidden. So for now, once they're gone, they're gone ...

  • Re: A17 Text Comparison

I have the same issue. It seems that L4 can't accept either a space or a comma at the end of the field. This may be linked to the drop-down list of Bibles which appears for a fraction of a second only before the space or comma is deleted ... Logs attached: 3531.Archive.zip

  • A17 - Biblical People/Places/Things '...' to generate more references

In the release notes for A17 it says that:
“...” in the references can be clicked to generate more references
It might be just me, but I can't get this to work. I'm clicking on the ellipsis where the arrow is pointing in the screenshot, but nothing happens. I don't know whether this is important, but the cursor
