Have you previously activated logging as described in this post? If so, open your logs in console and see what's happening. Otherwise I guess you've probably reached the point where it's worth closing L4 and initiating logging. The you'll be able to view the logs in Console and see what's happening with your downloads.

ooops, missed the last screenshot: As an aside I think it's worth noting that the L4 UI for drop down menus is significantly different to that shown above. Is this an area where the UI could be made more Mac-like?

  • A17 - Search Options on smaller screens

I'm only running L4 on a Macbook and not on a desktop machine (my wife and I sold our iMac about a year ago and we've now got a MacBook each). I'm running into a problem in a couple of areas where L4 requires so much real estate that it punishes those of us with smaller screens. Consider, for example, the screenshot below. I've not cropped it down so

Don't throw your Mac out of the window! Downloading resources can take a long time. It's hard to predict how long because of the inconsistency across internet connections. You will need to find out whether L4 is still downloading files or whether it has 'hung'. There are a couple of things you can do to check this: 1. Look in the right half of the menu
Again, that won't help you if the "Now" snapshot is non-existent or is an hour old.
This seems to be the problem; I've noticed that the 'Now' snapshot doesn't always appear in A17.

  • A17 - Biblical People/Places/Things '...' to generate more references

In the release notes for A17 it says that:
“...” in the references can be clicked to generate more references
It might be just me, but I can't get this to work. I'm clicking on the ellipsis where the arrow is pointing in the screenshot, but nothing happens. I don't know whether this is important, but the cursor

  • Re: A17 Text Comparison

I have the same issue. It seems that L4 can't accept either a space or a comma at the end of the field. This may be linked to the drop-down list of Bibles which appears for a fraction of a second only before the space or comma is deleted ... Logs attached: 3531.Archive.zip
The "hidden" resources no longer appear in your library.
This is a useful feature, but needs to be used with caution. The release notes indicate that with the present alpha, there's no way of 'unhiding' the resources once they're hidden. So for now, once they're gone, they're gone ...

Now isn't this typical. I opened L4 immediately after posting the above and the home page loaded as it should do! ! ? I'll keep an eye on what happens and repost if this issue resurfaces. Thanks for your help Tommy.

Tommy I've tried turning the firewall off and adjusting the proxy settings (I don't use a proxy at home, but I do at work), but no joy. I still cannot see anything on the Logos 4 homepage. Also I cannot load the page you refer to in Google Chrome or in Safari, but if I strip the variables from the url I can access an RSS feed in Safari. ?
How long have you waited?
About ten minutes. The thing is that these resources were loading okay until recently (perhaps at A16a?). Also, even when the media-based resources were slow, the cross references would appear comparatively quickly. Now the cross references don't load up either. [quote user="David Mitchell
