• Re: Van Til & page numbers

It's a long-standing request. I brought the issue up 5 years ago, and I probably wasn't the first. Etc. From what I recall, these are very old resources from when Logos didn't attend to putting in everything like page numbers and indices like they do nowadays
did completely close out the app. & then reopen. Still no luck.
Try typing "Update Now" in the command box and see if anything comes through. Meanwhile, while you wait for CS, you should be able to view your books at If they're not there, then they didn't get unlocked on your account.
I just installed 8.9 (Mac). Now the Bible Study Magazine and Proclaim blog are displayed on my dashboard. What is the point of selecting preferences when Logos overrides them to promote their products?
I'm on Windows--I just check my home page and the Proclaim blog was on too. I don't have all of FL's feeds off, but
There has indeed. I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said it comes up at least once a week within our team. Please believe me when I say that we are doing everything we can to get this into Logos. We have a lot of incentive to get this into our system. It is a seminal work and is widely used. All other considerations

  • Re: Theology Guide: where is "Communion of Saints"?

I did a search in the Lexham Survey of Theology , which the TG is based on, for "communion of saints" and got zero hits. Looking under "Doctrine of the Church," the most likely location I see is "Fellowship in the Life of the Church," but it's a short article and rather limited in scope.
Does anyone else think it is ridiculous that you basically have to have a top of the line computer to run Logos?
Yes. Not having a top of the line (but not exactly low end, either) computer (and no SSD--I know, heresy, right?!), it does not bother me that searches take some time. I am even less bothered by indexing

  • Re: Page Number display by default?

Yes. All you have to do is go to the "page numbers" visual option, move your mouse over to the right, and select "Show in all appropriate resources":

  • Provide Better Book Previews in Store

The previews of books in the Logos store are very limited. At the bare minimum, the full table of contents should be provided for every book; a short contiguous sample of a chapter would also be good. Repeatedly I find myself going to to get a better preview* of books for an informed purchasing decision. FaithLife, do you really want people

  • Re: Anchor Bible Dictionary

It's one of my favorites. I go to it whenever I need in-depth information on any biblical subject. Regardless of your theological perspective, you will find much of value in it. Few others rival it in the level of detail it provides. It is very much worth acquiring, especially if you can find a discount for it (I picked mine up at a good rate a couple
Perhaps you thought I was one of the ones who was implying "suck it up" but I was not. I was heaping abuse on Logos for being so slow (in other areas as well). Essentially commiserating with the OP. I just brought a brand new laptop, asked for one with sizzling fast specs (

I've read works by Olson but not this particular one; however, I do recall him saying that he did not particularly like what was conveyed by the title "Against Calvinism"--the publisher chose it.

I'm a protestant theologian, and these packages... are not bad at all! I have an old Verbum starter (L6, I think). I can get this Starter for $7.35, with 15 new works--7 of which are Chesteron. Bronze is only $36, and with that I'd get Evelyn Underhill and John Newman. Plus some N.T. Wright works I don't have yet. This could be useful for a wide variety
This was produced at a time when page numbers weren't added to resources. We've been in the process of adding them to those that are missing them. The works of Van Til are a very common request. We've been in the process of re-acquiring materials so we can get them added.
(Emphasis added.) Must be a long a process

  • Re: JEDP in Logos

I made a simple Visual Filter for AFAT that just colors the basic sources Eissfeldt identifies: This is mostly what I want. I do have a question (although I'm pretty sure the answer is "no"): Is there any way to map this filter onto another Bible, say an English one (any version) or a different Hebrew text (say, one with an interlinear)?
