If you've already inserted notes and they are showing up only in one version, then there's no way to change them to global notes that apply to all versions.
It would be nice if you could link to a reference after the fact, something I wanted to do in L3, but was unable to find out how or if it was possible. Funny

Michael: I have an older under-powered laptop that runs L4 OK. Among the folks here, however, I would be considered a "light" user and I don't have a very large collection. But my acceptable performance only came after I upgraded to 2 GB of RAM. Hope that helps.

Sat: A fellow user, Jon, has devised a way to manually create reading plans in a precise way not currently possible using L4's automatic capabilities. Available are methods for a precise M'Cheyne plan and the Horner plan. I have tested and will use his method. The Horner plan presented is a 2 year plan (2010-2011) due to the 10 tracks having very different
As I recall, the problem was not a Logos decision but in how MS Word has changed the way other programs can access it. MS appears to have changed things to resist viruses infecting their program and this limits Logos from implementing this feature.
Sounds like something MS would do. Someone needs to tell MS that we

iI also miss #4 (hyperlinks button). In L4 If you paste text with passage references, it seems it only generates the hyperlink for the passage(s) that are either in the last sentence of the paragraph (after pressing the Enter key) or are the first reference in any line made by text wrapping in the note. In any case, it is inconsistent. In L3, the button

Scott: I'm running XP with specs a bit less that yours. While I'm sure it isn't as snappy as some of the power users here, it really isn't agonizing or anything. In fact, my biggest issue is the refresh time of the Information window, which I see in other posts is quite common. I don't upgrade to a new computer very frequently, so my expectations are

  • Re: M'Cheyne Bible reading plan

I have been using a modified M'Cheyne plan in L3. (I misspelled the gentleman's name in another post; sorry, Bobby). It works OK and the same thing can be done in L4 (although divided up differently than L3). It's modified because the way the software divides it up doesn't always break at neat chapters like the manual reading plan. This isn't an issue

Ken: So, it seems QuickVerse (or at least the version you have) won't work in Vista? If true, you might check to see if E-Sword (which is free) works in Vista, as it has a STEP reader. That STEP interface is primitive, but it would at least give you some electronic access to your MacArthur files.

Kind of off-topic here, but I'm new to the forums (started reading them to help with getting used to L4) and I'm impressed how the corporate top guy gives enough of a hoot about his customers that he is up at 11:20 asking their opinion on possible features. Way to go! In fact, it appears he gives a very large hoot.

Joe: In my case, I am in the home stretch of an annual plan that has four daily readings whereby one reads OT once, NT twice and the Psalms twice. For example today I read 2 Ki 21, Phil 4, Daniel 2, and Luke 9. It was created in L3 by defining the 4 reading paths as daily readings. Ideally, I would recreate the plan in L4 and pick up the reading in

I'll bet there isn't. However, you can copy the L3 plan definition and pasting into L4. I did that with a modified McShane plan I put in L3, but the results aren't the same; evidently the two calculate the plans quite differently. I'll start off '10 with an L4 plan.
