I see. I own the platinum package plus other resources which I have purchased over the course of years. I just downloaded the logos 8 platform. if I understand this correctly, I will need to BUY yet another package to get this resource.

  • maps

i am trying to use Atlas and biblical places maps. with atlas, it seems that for the old testament all that atlas shows are very general maps and does not include any specific individuals. most of the maps lookalike because they are very general. in the biblical places maps - this is much better in that at least there are specific routes of individuals

now i see the difference between the core and crossgrade. What a quandary! i already own the language resources that come in the crossgrade. so if i want the additional databases i will be getting resources that i already own or do not need. oh well... thanks howard silverman

this is interesting. Evidently, by purchasing one book in logos 4, i was able to download the logos 5 "core" because all I am missing is the timeline, clause search and the sense lexicon. so if i want those databases i will need the crossgrade. thank you.

  • Re: Torah Reading Plan

i am familiar with at least two or three one year calendars with the traditional torah reading, Haftorah reading and a corresponding passage from the NT for a one year cycle. i will ask the authors if they would allow their calendar to be used. after that someone with more tech. knowledge and more Logos knowledge would have to put it together electronically

Could someone tell me if the e-mail about the NICNT pre pub on hebrews is NICNT. I have the NICNT Hebrews commentary by Bruce. The pic of the commentary is not from the NICNT series. is it an update from Bruce or something completely different. thanks howard silverman

  • Re: searching for all forms of a word

i wish this was some heavy theological point, but i am practicing doing searches. in Gen. 43:16 there is the phase "l'asher al bayto" (sorry for the lack of transliteration ettiquette!). it is translated as "household steward." in NAS95 i wanted to see if that phrase is used elsewhere in the Hebrew bible. i did an english search on "household steward

thanks for the responses. sorry that i ddi not look closely enough at yesterdays posts. i was specifically looking for a phrase that sometimes includes a preposition before the first word and then a pronominal suffix after the last word. i am sure i can do it by the process of elimination looking at each word. thanks howard

  • searching for all forms of a word

i am trying to search all of a hebrew phrase regardless of the prefix or suffix of each word. I unchecked "match all word forms" but i still get only the verses that have the phrase exactly as it is written in the search. I am trying to put an asterisk at the begiing and the end to see if that will help but it will not let me put an asterisk at the
