It was a couple months ago when i considered upgrading to a higher version of scholars library. It was then that i discovered that the library contained hundreds of titles which were already in my library. As if I wasn't already confused enough ... what exactly does "completely different products with completely different content
Biblical People, Places and Things, Word Study were part of the L4 Scholar package.
Yes? I'm not sure I get your point.

In the simplest of terms: She will get all the new things. But she will not get the old things, if she didn't already have them.

  • Re: Minimal Crossgrade Confusion & question . . .

He is saying that certain tools that were in the L4 base packages are not in the L5 base packages, and they aren't in the minimal crossgrade. Therefore, if a person didn't doesn't have them from their L4 base package, then they won't get them with the crossgrade. What this means is that the minimal crossgrade will give your friend everything she needs

  • Re: Bug: Problem with referent tagging of Jesus

In both of those examples, it does seem like God could be taken as the subject. But if He is the subject, then the verb is not "to love" in either case. "God has prepared" are the subject and verb of 1 Cor 2:9. And "God chosen" in Jas 2:5 with a second clause with "he has promised." In both cases, God is the object of the love of his people. But He

  • Re: Discount Changes

When I upgraded on November 1, when L5 first came out, my sales rep was surprised that the computer was giving me a 30% discount. He thought it was a bug, took a minute to go check, and then came back saying there was indeed a problem with the 30% percent and that it would have to be fixed (and therefore the discount would be less for others later)

  • Re: is the L5 platform available for download now?

You should probably call customer service and ask about it.

I can confirm this as well. The right-click menu does still work, however.
So glad and thankful for what I already have, and that I won't be tempted by Logos this Friday. Some good prices to be had.
Amen. Very thankful this holiday season with my L5 upgrade. I'd have to admit that a few on the list are tempting! But I'm thankful for the discernment that I have no place making such purchases

Yes, thank you Mr. Murray for your service here. By the way, you wouldn't happen to be related to Andrew Murray, would you?
"stable before new version"
Personally, I don't think most people understand what this even means. People keep getting upset that Logos is releasing software before its perfect, acting as if it could be perfected in the next week (or at all) and we could all receive exactly what we want now or very soon, but that

Try removing L5 from your computer and reinstalling it.

Another option would be to use ratings. You can rate all of them at once and then sort by rating in the library. Same concept as with the tags, but is another option you can do if you use tags and don't use ratings.
What items do you have checked in the "Content" section on your Home Page options menu (the little gear icon at the bottom of the sidebar)? It might be that you only have "Updated Resources" checked, which would explain the dearth of content:
I have most of the items checked. Like I said, all I did was restart Logos

  • BUG: Homepage not displaying much

Restarted L5 and it decided it didn't want to display hardly anything on the Homepage. It's not that it doesn't finish loading, but that it finishes and only displays a couple things. I've restarted multiple times since and even reinstalled the app to see if that would work, but it did not, even though it normally does. Here's two different occasions

Sure, maybe the suggestion is worth considering (in which case
Okay I did what you all said but I think this upgrade was not explained clearly to me. I currently have Logos 4 Scholar - Gold I wanted to upgrade to Logos 5 same version. I would not upgrade to logos 5 for the features and go to a smaller library. If this is what happened then I would like to reinstall logos 4 Scholar Gold.

  • Re: Logos 4 - 5 Cross Grade - Download

Then the download has not occurred. When everything is said and done, your app will say Logos Bible Software 5. Type "Update Now" without quotes into your Logos command bar. It should download all your new resources and affect the Logos 5 install over your Logos 4.
