• Re: Discrepancies between my L5 Installation and Mark Barnes' New in L5 Video
I suspect that the versions which show up depend on your resourceprioritization
I know this affects it. I looked at my Information panel as I posted above and noticed that an index in the Pulpit Commentary showed up where AYBD should have been, and then I realized I had grouped all my commentaries above my dictionaries

James 5:9 - " Do not complain against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door." I'm just gonna post this verse here and recommend that if you have something to say, you should watch your words carefully. Also: Proverbs 18:2 - " A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his

Thanks for your thoughts guys. I figured German would be up there given that whole Reformation thing.

  • Re: Is it possible to use Christmas Credit when purchasing an upgrade?

Does a person gain Christmas credit when purchasing an upgrade to L5 versus buying it as one's first Logos base package? If so, I wonder if it would be intelligent to return L5 and repurchase my upgrade during the Christmas promo. Might be more hassle than its worth though. Edit: Ironically, I got 30% off on my L5 purchase, and my price range when I
But I personally don't want to fund planned obsolescence, or anything that smells like it.
Then you might as well not ever buy any technology or make any effort whatsoever to keep up with the current generation. The reality is that if you like Logos Bible Software and want Logos to continue as a company, you'd

  • What modern languages to learn?

I anticipate a long schooling career which very well might mean having to take a foreign language. So I was wondering what modern foreign language (German, French, Spanish, etc.) has been the most influential theologically? That is, if a person desired to study theological works more thoroughly in their original languages, which languages would be best
Personally partitioned hard drive so Logos consistently has the fastest transfer speeds; OS X 10.8.2 is installed in the second fastest partition.
Wait. What now? Care to elaborate? I wouldn't mind experimenting to get Logos to work faster on my mac.

  • Re: will I downgrade any functionality by crossgrading?

You won't miss out on any L5 functionality; that is the point of the cross-grade. You will be at L4 Platinum, because that's what base package you have. If you don't buy a new base package, you don't get a new title or "level." No L4 functionality has been removed from L5. L5 is effectively a superior L4; there are only added goodies.

If Logos had a rep system, you would certainly receive lifetime reps from me, lol. A few months back I watched all your L4 videos. I will definitely watch this one. Your work is much appreciated.
Development would need to see your Indexer log to further investigate the issue (and I'm sure your other diagnostic logs would also be appreciated) if you see this occurring again.
If I see it again, I'll post the logs. I reinstalled L5 from the .dmg file, and that seemed to have solved the problem for now.

I just wanted to bump this with what I did that seems to have fixed the problem. I called Logos and had customer service email me the L5 .dmg file (mac). So instead of completely erasing Logos from my computer and reinstalling/downloading everything, I just reinstalled the app using the .dmg file. After opening the .dmg file and dragging the new L5
I can't speak definitively… it might be better for a Logos employee to jump in… however, it was NOT uncommon during downloads in the past to have ridiculously large percentages. Your's does seem a bit extreme. What package are you trying to download? Have you tried just deleting the app, and redownloading the L5 engine (using

  • Reinstalling Logos app on Mac

For some reason, L5 is having severe trouble downloading updates for me. So I'm looking to hear anyone's thoughts on deleting the app off my mac, while leaving the files, and reinstalling L4... which I assume will want to upgrade to L5 again when opened. I don't know what else to try to get this problem fixed. Someone told me in another thread that

  • BUG: Homepage not loading, Quit problems

Bug 1: Sometimes the homepage in L5 will get stuck with the little loading circle continuously going around, and therefore the homepage won't load. Never had this kind of problem in L4. Bug 2: I think I remember reading awhile back that people were having quit problems with L4. I also had those problems, and have noticed they have stuck around with
L5 is already up to SR-3? Wow !
Yeah, they've popped out a few quick updates. I guess as great as Beta testing is, the best test group will always be the actual market, lol. I wonder how many were in the Beta vs how many have L5 now. A quick way to find a large number of bugs: release the product so there are 1000x
Robert, I think Bradley once (in the pre-L5 days) explained that this is a rare bug on the Mac, coming from some downloads that retry over and over again, and that there is no real good solution to it. I wouldn't worry about the percentage, but check that your downloads come through (internet connection stable?). Maybe a google
