  • Re: Consider reaching a bigger audience by adding a frame work for internationalization to reftagger

Just adding my $0.02 it would be great to have this available in Albanian (shqip).

  • Re: Copy Bible Verses - custom format - getting rid of chapters

I gave the whole style definition between the snip tags. But I didn't try it in multiple versions - I was just using NIV1984 and never thought to try another version. Switching to NIV2011 gets rid of one of the chapter-by-itself listings when I ask for all of Colossians and leaves it the same if I ask for Colossians 1 Switching to ESV makes the problem

  • Copying from single-chapter books with a custom copy format

If I create a custom format to copy the text of a verse and that format includes the chapter number, how can I get "Jude 1:3" instead of "Jude Jude:3"? What do I use for a chapter number that will consistently give me the chapter number even on single-chapter books?

  • Copy Bible Verses - custom format - getting rid of chapters

I am creating my own custom format for copy/pasting verses and want to be able to ask for 2-3 chapters at a time without getting the intervening chapter. I am using this as my format: ===(snip)=== %UseBibleParagraphs %NoCharFormatting %NoFootnotes %NoCitation =ForEachVerse REF([ShortBookName].[ChapterNum]:[VerseNum]) [VerseText] ===(snip)=== If I copy

to clarify... by "so that it can be used" I mean "so that anybody visiting my web-site can use the embedded Bible" -Peter

Ah, I see that when I'm logged in I can use the resource="sq-diodati" and it works fine for the embedded Bible... Is there any way I can leave my site "logged in" so that it can be used? Or is that violating some copyright...? I was under the impression that this version of the Bible was available to be given away freely as long as there was permission

  • Albanian Bible availability via biblia.com, embedded, or API?

I see here that the Albanian Bible (Diodati i Ri version) is available on biblia.com. That would be REALLY great for several applications I'm working on. Unfortunately when I try to choose it for the embedded Bible plug-in or in the API I'm not finding that option. Is there some secret to opening up other-language Bibles or something? -Peter

  • Re: Logos 5 highlighting slowing me down.

First, thanks for responding so quickly. Second, it very well could be that I thought I was upgrading and my Mac was not. Third, how do i manage this better so it does not keep happening? Can I erase the contents of a file and still have the book or commentary highlighted? Thanks

  • Logos 5 highlighting slowing me down.

I am using a Mac. I have used a highlighter when reading a commentary for many years. Just updated to logos 5 and when I highlight something I get the dreaded spinning wheel where I have to wait to do anything. I look over at the window that shows all my highlighting options and I see on the bottom that it is making an annotation. How do I stop this

  • Re: Outdated and expensive

Yes, he's only in 7th grade. My concern is that he really uses that computer more than I do and installing Logos would be for him to use it more than I do... So I'm not sure I could legitimately say I'm the primary user. Is the license such that within a family i would be legitimate?

This is MUCH more reasonable! If it had NIV I would purchase it immediately (he does all his memory work in NIV). We may yet go down this road... Thanks for the idea.

[quote user="Mike Binks"]I really don't think you should feel hard done by.[/quote] Thank you, everyone, for your very helpful replies. In summary the following points are most important to me: Every time I saw Logos.com talking about going to Logos4 they pushed the minimal crossgrade so much (even the word "minimal" seems to imply it) that I thought

Outdated? No, I think there's good functionality and a good UI -- Logos is an excellent piece of software. But EXPENSIVE?! YES! My son just asked me if he could put some Bible software on his computer. Obviously I was very pleased to help him in this and obviously I started looking at my long-time favorite, Logos. The packages were not applicable to

So if I'm reading correctly I can simply install the free Logos 4 engine and lose nothing as compared to Logos 3 except Vocabulary and Word Lists and perhaps some forgotten (and probably thus unimportant?) features?

  • What functionality do I LOSE when I upgrade from Logos 3 to Logos 4? (no minimal cross-grade)

I have been holding off for months now on this whole upgrade to Logos 4. What's been holding me back? For years I have used digital libraries and nearly across the board the model is "buy the resources, the reader functionality is free." Now all of a sudden I have to pay $69 (no reductions!) in order to maintain the same functionality I had with Logos

This seems to have solved my problem. WISH LIST: Capability of saving what's downloaded and restarting rather than starting over whenever there's any problem. But meanwhile I'm able to download at least a basic list of resources I use all the time and get myself functional on libronix again. (I may try to get them all 100 mb at a time, but I'm not sure

  • Downloading entire collection

I formatted & reinstalled my computer and am now re-installing Libronix (3). Unfortunately I seem to have misplaced the DVD that had all my resources on it. I'm a missionary overseas and really would prefer not to wait for a DVD. Is there any way to download all resources? -Peter
