Thanks Graham. Maybe one of the techies at FaithLife might pick up the idea.

Have Verbum 9 (// Logos 9) Silver. I can create and paste a link into my Sermon/Homily Builder but it is not live and I just get the full link path itself. How can I: 1) Rename the link? 2) make it live in Sermon/Homily Builder? e.g. Let's say I want to create a link to a passage in St Augustine's works so I can refer to it later without finding it

Verbum Now members need a regular email or web-site to access benefits especially the code for the monthly free book. I can't find the code for Sept 2018. Rod

Thought so. How about then a merge facility in the Concordance for Logos 8?

I want to compare two texts: one from Old Testament one from the New. I want to do this by seeing what words are in common - in English. No matter what English translation I select, the list is always either the Hebrew or Greek - so I can't compare the two. Is there a way of really telling Word List which translation to use? NOTE: this could easily

Is there a way of, for example, searching a book for all nouns and then graphing the result in a column graph of chapter AND VERSE number vs frequency. I can do chapter vs frequency, but not chapter & verse vs frequency. Rod

Yes, that works. Thanks Allen.

John, No cigar. Neither with <Lemma = lls/el/ὁ> WITHIN 0 WORD <Lemma = lls/el/Χριστός>
-
what about the definite article?
-
Jack, If you meant: <Lemma = lls/el/ὁ><Lemma = lls/el/Χριστός> this didn't work.

How do I search for "ὁ Χριστὸς" across all declensions? e.g. a search that will pick up "ὁ Χριστὸς" as well as, say τοῦ Χριστοῦ and all the other possibilities. Rod

Got this in our Library. Thanks Lee. Still looking for a single continuous passage.

I have had great success over the last five years of teaching NT Greek with the inductive method. That is, after learning the alphabet and sounds of letters etc, we jump straight into a NT text and learn vocab syntax and grammar as we go. I use John 1 as the text because it contains most of the 200 most common words in the Greek NT. It is beautiful

Wow, thanks David! Rod

Is it possible to select a Bible passage in Hebrew or Greek (or English for that matter) and get Logos 5 to list all the nouns (or other parts of speech) in that passage? If so, how? Rod

Has anybody successfully installed Logos 5 on a Ubuntu 14.04LTS machine via Q4Wine? If so, can you tell me how it was done? Thanks. Rod

Hi Tommy, Did that. Still didn't work. There's obviously something simple I don't know.

Hi Dave, Tried that. I downloaded EnableLogging.js to turn on logging, but I couldn't get it to run. I tried opening it directly, but all I got was a flash of something. Then I tried opening it with IE but it wouldn't open at all. Chrome just opens it as a text file. Then I tried LogosSetup.exe again, but still it does not run. Rod

Thanks Dave, Log files as attached. At the moment Logos Verbum is telling me I don't have any updates!? Rod 8713.Logos Log Files.zip

I have Logos 5 (windows) Verbum installed, but it fails to update. I have tried: to use the latest setup ( 5.2a Service Release 4 (5.2.1.0131) - it doesn't install either; to allow program past firewall (doesn't help) - all was well anyway until a few weeks ago. I have a 4th gen laptop and a very good internet connection. The program works fine, but
