• Re: New Logos 8 deal - $100 off and gift for a friend
Banner ads generally don’t contain fine print within the ad. The intent of a banner ad is to get people to click through it (incidentally generating ad revenue), visiting the company’s site (to then hopefully buy their product). Any disclaimer within a banner ad would stop some percentage of people from clicking

I'm not sure where you saw that (on their blog?), but that ad I posted is all over the place (including at the bottom of the page here as I type) and it has no fine print and no link to fine print. When I click on it, there are no further details, just a bunch of unrelated specials. Posting an ad all over the place (on my home page, at the top of the

RE: " Nothing dishonest. You just have to approach the web site as a person who has not purchased Logos before. " I'm logged in and there is an ad at the top of the forum saying "Save an extra $100 on Logos 8 through 12/31. No "first base package" fine print. Sorry, that's dishonest.

It looks like we've had a mixed bag of replies, but count me among those who felt misled. The ad on my home page (multiple times) didn't say it was only for first time purchases, and I clicked the link several times on different days and didn't see fine print; I just couldn't find a way to add the package to my cart and save the extra $100.

I finally got it to work. I just had to wait it out - about 30 seconds. My laptop isn't old, but it is a lower-end model.

  • Sermon Editor - Key Verses and Key Passages fields

In the sermon editor, I can't get anything to same in the key verses and key passages fields. I can type info in the fields, but if I hit enter, nothing happens. If I hit tab or click on any other field, the info in these fields disappears. It's a minor annoyance, but any idea why these fields don't work?

I called tech support today. Apparently some of the Galaxie license codes changed at some point and the level 2 guy had to update them. It works now. Thanks for looking into it for me.
Did you have the Early Church Fathers resource just installed on Libronix or did you have it installed on either Logos 4 or Logos 5?
I know I had it in Libronix. I don't know if it was ever in 4 or 5, but I doubt it.
The key thing is to ensure the licences are registered in Logos 5p

  • Recover copy of Galaxie Early Church Fathers

I bought the Galaxie Software history collection which included a version of the Early Church Fathers. I noticed the other day that I no longer have that resource. (I last remember using it in about 2006.) I have been sorting through stacks of semi-labeled backup disks of all sorts of garbage and have been unable to restore it. (I did find some other

  • Re: Same Functionality & Learning Curve?

Along the same lines, if I have some functions on L4 but upgrade at a lower level that doesn't include those functions on L5, will I still have those functions? Examples off the top of my head: pericope sets, sentence diagramming. If I just do the starter upgrade, will I keep those features because I had them in L4?

  • Reading Schedule Reverts to calendar format

It seems like every time I open L4, I change my reading plan display to the list format, but the next time I open it, it's in calendar format. I can create a new named layout or open a layout that in the thumbnail looks like a list format, but it always automatically reverts to the calendar layout. I prefer the list format because I keep the reading

Note - I've only read the first page of replies, so I might be duplicating, but... 1. I've been using Logos since early 2.0. I never upgraded to one of the 3.0 base packages. The upgrade calculator to one of the L3 packages was still available to me at least within the last 6 months, and probably right up to the end. I would be surprised if L4 doesn
