• Re: Help me help Faithlife make more money :)

Yes, I think the prepub or community pricing mechanisms are ideal for that. Currently if you have already purchased the ebook you get upgraded to the Logos format for free but if there truly is extra value in having a full Logos book (and given how far things have moved in terms of the type of metadata that Logos is tagging their books with I think

  • Re: What are you doing with your Logos fundamentals coupon?

Wonderful to here how the Word (see what I did there) gets spread from person to person through familial and other relationships. God's kingdom in action!

  • Re: Help me help Faithlife make more money :)

Thanks for the links. To be clear, my expectation is not for full Logos books with the extensive tagging - I agree - it's not likely to be worth their while. But I'm under the impression that the ebook process is pretty straightforward to the point of being full automated. There might be some tagging for Bible verses if they exist in the text but that

  • Help me help Faithlife make more money :)

Wow - two posts in one day!! More of a lurker around here - but let me say thank you to those of you who respond to questions and posts. I have benefited greatly overs the years. I wonder how many people can relate to this scenario: Early this week I got a txt from my wife asking if Logos had a book: Why You Think The Way You Do? by Glenn Sunshine

  • What are you doing with your Logos fundamentals coupon?

This post is kind of a reminder to those that got the coupon and haven't used it yet. I was going to give it to my daughter but when I offered it to her she made the point that at least for now while she is at home she has access to my library which is a lot larger than what fundamentals offers. So... I have a young guy coming around this afternoon

  • Re: Windows 10 Mobile and my Logos online app issues!

Unfortunately the web app doesn't support this browser (I've tried this too) It used to be that you could force it to act as a desktop but that is no longer an option in Mobile Edge and none of the browser options work either. Were you hoping to use this with Continuum?

Obviously, there can be quite a range of maturity and ability to focus at that age. It's not an Indiana Jones or National Treasure move. If it was me I'd be inclined to give them the discussion guide and/or some other prompts prior to watching so that there are more reasons to stay engaged. For instance, having them spot how many different papyri and

I also attended last night with 3 of my children (11,12, 14). I thought the production quality was excellent and the evidence presented engagingly. Even my youngest (who was by far the youngest in the theatre) came away understanding the basic hypothesis and was particularly amused at the portion where one scribe is writing in the margins telling the

  • Any tips for using Web App on Edge for Mobile with Continuum

I have a Lumia 950XL and every now and then I check out the Logos web app to see how it's progressing. I'm particularly interested at how it works using Continuum. All the menu functions seem to work OK but when I try to open any content it's always been a toss up as to whether anything will render. Currently it consistently DOES NOT render anything

  • Re: Who Teaches with Logos Open and Projected

I used the Psalm Explorer visualization recently. Generally though I just report on my results, for instance the donut charts from word studies which I can send directly to Powerpoint. I do like to mention how I got them .. "I was doing a search in my Logos bible software...." or words to that effect. I don't want the mechanics of using the software

  • Re: Extremely Frustrated
Hmm. Perhaps Logos would benefit from offering collections based on courses.
I'd be interested in that approach. Assuming dynamic pricing I'd just look at the total cost of the course including additional resources and budget accordingly. I think they'd also need to differentiate between the required and optional

Thanks Bob. Here are some passages of immediate interest to me: Hebrews 13:2 Romans 12:13 2 Samuel 22:31-32 Ruth 1:16 Exodus 20:3 Leviticus 11:44a Exodus 14:14 1 John 2:2 Ecclesiastes 5:11

My pet peeve is that they have some verses that have been done more than once. John 1:14 for instance. If they've run out of ideas for verses I've got a list for them :) Jeremy

  • Re: Why can't Mobile Ed courses be viewed off-line?

If you have downloaded your media on your desktop. You could transfer the file to a different device for viewing. The video format is MOV I believe. The files are not named for human access but have a look in the webcache section of your Logos folder.

  • ED121 Video Resources not downloading

I had this course marked as a hidden resource. A few days ago I removed it from the Hidden Resource list in Program Settings - I did this to the course plus the video resources. The course materials downloaded almost immediately but when I try to view the videos within Logos it comes up saying that the resource is no longer in my library? I am able

  • Re: Restrictions on use of visual copy?

Thanks for that thread link. While it did provide some insight it is not wholly conclusive. It was focused on the use of Faithlife graphics in a blog post. I thought Bob's reply was reasonable and I note that more comprehensive instructions were promised but that was more than 6 months ago. The quotes taken from other publications is the easiest to
