  • Cool (I think) feature request - Superimposed maps

As part of materials I've been collated for a series on Exodus I made a big map of the general area (Egypt, Sinai Peninsula up past the Dead Sea) and then I superimposed a map of my region. That way I provide a better sense of distances. It took me awhile to match the scale of the two maps and get it reasonable close and I was thinking this would be

  • Re: March Madness pre-selection

Just add to your wishlist. I have a question. Do we need to create a specific wishlist or will what is already on wishlists be included?

It is a tracking mechanism to trace what has happened when someone clicks on a Facebook ad. Here's a link for more info : https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-pixel/implementation

  • Prayer List Usability

I think I've seen mention of this in the forums previously. But after yet another incident of me accidentally deleting a prayer request I'd like to ask again for a change in that part of the interface. At the very least, could we change the order of options so that if you swipe all the way right that just marks it off as prayed for the day. Even better

  • Comparing translations of John Calvin's Commentary on John

I'm doing a survey of commentaries on John. I note that I have two translations of Calvin's commentary. Pringle's from 1847 and then a newer one from Crossway (I see who the editors are but not sure who the translator/s were) I'm trying to figure out several things: - it looks like the Crossway edition skips the Epistle Dedicatory it looks like that

  • Re: Surface A, Surface B, Surface C...?

On my Surface Pro I also run Bluestacks (Andrioid emulation)for times where I want a more "appy" experience. I don't use it for the Logos app - for straight reading I have other options (mainly I use a Kindle Fire), whereas when I'm using Logos on the Surface it is for the purpose of study so I want the full app.

  • Re: Surface A, Surface B, Surface C...?

Hi Liam, I had a Surface Pro 4 for three years and recently upgraded to a 6 because for me it is the right mix of portability and power. The only problem I have ever had running Logos on the Surface is because of my library size I've had to juggle space on my hard drive. This is no longer an issue due to Logos selective download option now being available

  • Re: Combine Two (or more) Series

So I could use this method to create my own prefered commentary set mix and matching individual volumes from different series?

  • Re: How to teach Logos book aliases?

And by search and replace I mean all entries of one type in one go. You could also go one step further and create a macro to do them all in one go and then resuse that macro in multiple documents.

  • Re: How to teach Logos book aliases?

Hi Jeremiah. There may be quicker or more fancy ways but if it was me I would look to do a search and replace in the source document that added the logos tags next to the Jewish reference. Jeremy

If I understand what you're asking for it is currently being developed and was almost released this last cycle but they chose not to so that they could fine tune it some more.

  • Re: Dealing with terrorism - looking for resource recommendations

I have that one on my wishlist for other reasons. But in this case given that the attacks were focused on Muslims as opposed to a Muslim attacking others it doesn't really provide context except in a very general sense. To be clearer. I've read plenty over time about the geopolitics of terrorism as well as some frameworks such as clashing civilizations

  • Dealing with terrorism - looking for resource recommendations

I don't reside there currently but my hometown of Christchurch is in the news today due to a mass shooting. I'm looking for very practical resources (Logos prefered) to help process it myself plus interact with different people who want to talk through it many of whom are not christian.

To your point though I do also like that this is generally a fairly amiable place to visit. And sometimes we make errors in terms of where we post. That's different to intentionally not caring though. It sounds like you really don't think that :)

  • Re: Please Stop Hijacking Threads

While you may object to the tone I think the suggestion is a good one. As someone who has started threads that then move away from the topic (on this board and others) I liken it to have a face to face conversation with other people and having someone butt in and change the topic. It's not courteous. It's one thing if the conversation naturally progresses

The bundles are dynamically priced so you should get credit for your previous purchase. You will not pay twice for the same book.

  • Re: Confused over March Madness

You're correct - it simulates a knockout tournament - the winners go through to the next round. In this case, the bundles that get to the higher rounds will receive higher discounts.

  • Re: Training Teens to Use Logos

Do you intend Logos to be where they handle prayer requests or will suggest other options? Somewhat tongue in cheek - "When to put the phone down" More serious contribution - "How to develop curiosity, ask interesting questions and develop a desire to drink more deeply from the well of God's Word" My observation is that, particularly for young people
