• Profile reminder not disappearing

In the right hand sidebar the top spot is taken by a reminder to fill out my profile. I have dutifully done this, although I have made it all private. The completion level remains stuck at 50% and the reminder remains. I don't wish to see it anymore. Jeremy

  • Problems when I download a book

I downloaded several books for offline reading in the app. Everything works fine except for one book - WBC Pastoral Epistles commentary ( Mounce ). If I view it without downloading everything works OK. When I download it and then attempt to access it I am unable to flip the pages. Sometimes, the screen just goes totally white (blank) Any ideas?
If you can provide more information on your purpose (preaching? personal study? research project?)
A little bit of all three so getting recommendations as to best ones in each class is what I was after. The best commentaries site is useful but personal comments are even better.

  • Best commentary / resources for 1st Timothy

Would like some opinions from you all about which resources are worth having from the Logos stable of options that comment specifically on 1st Timothy.

I'm currently experimenting with the Cited By tool, which I can also restrict by collection, thinking that may end up being a better methodology for what I am doing.

Rather than just click - you could drag and drop. Not quite as a convenient as a single click but at least you get it opening in the panel you want

  • Misleading search results - any work around?

This is a general issue I have with the results that display in the passage guide but let me explain it with a very specific example... When I create a passage guide on a particular verse - for example Proverbs 12:9 - I have a commentary section called "Background and Culture" which is restricted to a specific collection. Among other things in that

Hi Lee, First step is stop the monitors fighting (dueling) :) Sorry, that particular typo amused me this morning. What you are asking for is handled by the computer itself and the Logos software is quite happy to display on whatever screen you put it on. For instance I have four screens hooked to my laptop (when I am in my office) and Logos works just
I suppose the subscription would be cloud-based. There are times when I just don't have internet access. If you own, you have no worries.
Depending on how they do it offline access could still be possible as long as it was a resource you had already downloaded. Kind of like how you can have offline access with the mobile
So...stop talking dirt about the idea
The OP was exploring the question of how what might be considered an inevitability impacts on purchasing decisions in the here and now. Then we broadened the discussion to what form a subscription or rental model might take, pro/cons, pricing, etc. I don't get the sense that anyone
If we were to offer subscriptions to individual titles, what would be your idea of the best break even price point between subscribing and buying? If a collection costs $500 to purchase outright, how many months of "subscription" should it take until it breaks even and equals $500. In other words, how would you decide which

For my other vocation I subscribe to a service called Safari Books Online. This gives me access to a library of mainly technical IT books. It makes perfect sense for me to do this in this context because these types of books go out of date very quickly. The have two tiers, an all you can eat option which is more expensive and a bookshelf option where

Just in case people are unfamiliar with the pre-pub process there is a video on this page that explains it. http://www.logos.com/products/search?Status=Pre-Pub So this title is just over halfway to the target Logos has set. Once there enough preorders it will go into production and when it is ready people who have preorder will be charged and the books

  • Comparison of Life Application Commentary vs NIV Application Commentary

So there is Life Application Commentary https://www.logos.com/product/5762/the-life-application-bible-commentary and there is NIV Application Commentary https://www.logos.com/product/23743/niv-application-commentary-bundle Obviously the second one is more extensive in terms of the number of books covered, etc but how different are two when they are
I kind of like having these options. I know on Facebook when a friend asks for prayer about a tragedy I feel funny saying I "like" it.
I agree. But why wouldn't you just comment on the post and say. "Praying for you" Isn't that more purposeful, and meaningful. I'm sure that some people would use the different options
