• error occurred during synchronization

To the left of "Layouts" I see an orange triangle with an exclamation point. Hovering over it shows this message: "an error occurred during synchronization". I've had this going on for a while but finally got tired of seeing it. A thread in the Logos 4 forum addressed this but I could not see that it helped me. That thread had several suggestions to
Sure the indexing is finished and there's not a virus scan or scheduled backup running in the back eating up the computer's resources? Most others report L5 to be much faster - one user compared it to going from Vista to Win7....
Maybe it was the indexing and maybe something else was going on in the background that was

After indexing and rebooting the computer, now it seems to be working correctly -- but very SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOW and a lot more 'not responding' than L4. I'm thinking about calling customer support on Monday and asking for a refund and an 'upgrade' back to L4.

  • BUG? -- documents/guides/tools opens on wrong monitor

I use a dual monitor with Logos 5 on my 2nd monitor because it is bigger. But when I click on the documents/guides/tools tabs/buttons at the top left the popup opens on my laptop monitor instead of the 2nd monitor. This makes for some extra mouse travel. Any way to force Logos 5 to open this stuff on the same monitor where Logos 5 is open?

  • LDGNT display of Louw-Nida numbers -- too large when Greek or Lemma turned off

In the LDGNT, I turned off display of everything except gloss and Louw-Nida. The LN numbers became enornous, overpowering the text. Anyone know how to keep the LN numbers the same size regardless of whether the Greek or lemma is displayed? (I tried to load a screenshot to illustrate, but that seemingly did not work.)
Have you considered playing with your monitor settings?
I recently had changed the settings on my external monitor to try and make it match my laptop monitor, so I could compare web pages I was designing. Based on your suggestion, I changed my external monitor settings and the selection is again readable. Maybe now

  • color of selected text is too dark , option to change ?

When I select some text in a book, the selection color is so dark I can hardly read the text that is selected. Is there any way to change the selection color?

  • Re: Suggestion: Justified text.
I think it's a personal preference. Left aligned text is generally easier to read because it's easier for your eyes to find the next line if they don't all look the same. But perhaps this could be a preference setting for those who wanted it.
I don't understand why this is so difficult to make optional. It used to

  • passage analysis > pericope sets -- no ISV ?

I notice the ISV has lots of headings. When I use passage analysis > pericope sets, however, ISV is not listed. Does the ISV contain insufficient coding to show up or is something broken on my system? (I currently have a problem with Find that no one else can duplicate, so I'm wondering if other things also are not working correctly for me).

If you could enable logging, repeat the issue and post your logs on this thread, that would likely be useful in tracking down the issue: http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging
I am using the "previous result" button as

  • BUG: ? problem using ctrl-f looking for "Aaron"

In NASB 95 I started out in Leviticus 1.7 where Aaron is mentioned. I pressed ctrl-f and typed "Aaron". It seems to work going forward but when I go backward to Exodus 38.21 it seems to stop finding hits, although search turns up 110 results in 103 verses prior to Exodus 38.21. I am using 4.3 SR-6 (4.30.0.1613)
Ken ... are you sure you don't have columns set to '1' in your NLT tab? That produces the effect you're describing (which I use when I'm in touch-screen mode).
Thanks to you and Praiser. That did the trick.

  • NTL -- no scroll bar

I no longer have a scroll bar in NLT -- all other Bibles and books have it. Plus there are 2 arrows in the lower right corner no other books seem to have.
