• Re: Thanks Logos for the birthday gift!

Hi Ted, You need a complete FL profile, and you need to have the right notification option(s) selected. I think that the following blog post contains the correct details. Please see below. https://blog.logos.com/2015/02/are-you-missing-out-on-your-birthday-gift/

  • Thanks Logos for the birthday gift!

Thank you FaithLife/Logos for the birthday code -- I'm not sure how I still get surprised by what has been an annual occurrence, but you know what they say: the memory is the second thing to go. Still using Verbum on a daily basis for devotional reading, study, prep for youth group ministry, general reading, etc. Thanks again and God bless y'all.

  • Prepub notifications vs. monthly budgeting

    Hi Catholic forum, Our household, like many (I presume), uses a budget based on monthly cycles. January 2019 has been a pretty busy month for pre-publication titles on my account, and I would like to talk about a couple of scenarios which have taken place: Prepub (PP) title one: Ignatius Press Theology/Discipleship collection; 79.99 PP/99.99 reg. pricing;

  • Re: New Verbum 8 deal - $100 off and gift for a friend

Thank you Dan. Yep, I'm hoping I can get that code to someone in the coming weeks -- this (free) copy of Verbum 7 Fundamentals has more features than the Catechism Collection I started with in Logos 4!

  • Re: New Verbum 8 deal - $100 off and gift for a friend

Thanks Donald and everyone at FL/Verbum for the cool surprise! I am waiting to hear back from someone at my parish to see if she would like the copy and will offer it to other members of the ministry in which I am involved if I don't hear back from her. Is there an expiration date on this offer that I should be aware of?

  • Re: New to Logos have a question

Hi Ronald, One approach with Logos 8 would be to make Notebooks for each new Layout. Capture your thoughts, insights, discoveries, etc. in a note/highlight as you have been doing, and then file the note under a notebook. That's step one. Here's a page from Logos with screenshots, etc: https://blog.logos.com/2018/12/learn-to-maximize-the-new-notes-tool

  • Re: upgrading to 8

If you have the time, I think that calling Verbum/Logos sales at 888-875-9491 will get you the best possible deal. You can explain your situation and they might be able to offer you pricing or offers which are not available via the website. I think that buying Verbum 8 feature upgrade or Verbum 8 Bronze will likely be the least expensive option (~

  • Re: Happy birthday to us...

Got my coupon the other day and put it towards Jimmy Akin's studies on the Gospel of Mark. Thanks again FL! God bless y'all.

  • Ignatius Press Theology and Discipleship Collection is almost ready to graduate from pre-publication

There is a collection of books in the pre-pub program right now which I think might be of benefit to Logos users in general, and Catholic/Verbum users in particular. Ignatius Press has assembled a group of books by Archbishop Fulton Sheen, Frank J. Sheed, Aidan Nichols, Erasmus Leiva-Merikakis, Mark Shea, and Cardinal Schonborn. You can check out the

  • Re: March Madness

Added Sacra Pagina to the library as a result of this year's March Madness discounts. Thanks FL for the cool yearly sale, and thanks to the Verbum team and Catholic FaithLife groups/message board folks for bringing the different Catholic tournament participants to everybody's attention.

it looks like Logos has removed the option for the old reliable Logos 4 font.
No suggestions, but FL no longer has the right to distribute the said typeface.
Is the font sold as a standalone? I wouldn't be opposed to buying a license if it weren't too dear. Would you happen to know

  • Re: Logos 7 Too Much?

Hi Larry, you can read most all of your resources using the web version of Logos as well. Point a web browser at app.logos.com and take a look! The web app has really been coming along the last few years and can definitely work for less strenuous reading/study. • Re: Default Logos 4 font has been removed?

Thanks for the info alabama. The "new" default Logos font always seemed to have hot spots at the points/edges of the characters themselves, and the contrast between the words and the white spaces seemed to create glaring patches of brightness. I'm on Averia Serif now, which looks a bit like a blurry old printed book. There are definitely no overly hot

  • Default Logos 4 font has been removed?

Well, it looks like Logos has removed the option for the old reliable Logos 4 font. Does anyone have any recommended substitutes? The new default font has never really done it for me. I don't enjoy reading it at all.

  • Re: Thank you Logos for the birthday gift token

Thank you for the birthday gift FL and Logos people! :) I finally picked up that 2 volume Edwards set that's been in my wishlist for years and years. Edwards' name and writings have come up in a few places recently (Noll's Scandal and an audiobook called The Skeptic's Guide To American History ), and since my reading and study have been grooving pretty

  • Re: Lewis

You can already do something kind of like this via a Faithlife group. It's possible to add "Community Notes" to resources, and then any group member going thru that resource will have a note icon at the appropriate location in the text. The community notes can contain citations to Logos resources, and can even be used as mini discussion threads, IIRC

Awesome! I've been using Biblia a bit over the past few weeks, and I was wondering how far the web app had come along since my Verbum Now subscription days. Thanks Phil and FL for the cool upgrade.

  • Re: A Verbum Introduction and Update

Welcome Thomas! Lent has indeed been providing opportunities to grow in trust, patience, FAITH, and all that good character building stuff. (It's almost like the bad guys pay extra attention to souls striving and yearning for God.) I'll pray for you, Lou, and for us all.
