  • Re: crash

Hello Susan, This might occur if you're adjusting the default font size, but have separately adjusted font size in some panels. When you adjust font size in Tools > Program Settings, it adjust the default setting for all panels. But if you open a panel and adjust its size in the Panel Menu (book cover), it will take on its own size setting beyond the

  • Re: logos 5 crash when quitting

Hello Brian, I apologize for the difficulty. Did you happen to notice if your Text Comparison panel was open at the time and to what passage? We've identified some inefficiencies in the way large passages are rendered in Text Comparison which have caused a lot of "pinwheeling". This usually happens when TC is linked to a Bible, and that Bible is scrolled

  • Re: What Does 'Update Active Layout' Do When There Is No Active Layout?

Hello Doc, "Active Layout" and what's currently on-screen are really somewhat separate topics. "Close All" does not close your "active layout". It only closes the resources and panels inside that layout. If you press "Update Active Layout" you will write over the previous layout which is still active. Similarly, closing your active layout will simply

  • Re: logos 4 is running but I cannot see any contents

Hello Sangseo, This is usually caused by a conflict between Microsoft's .NET Framework 3.5 and a video card driver. Most often when a second screen is attached via USB, or a dock/hub is attached with a screen port on it. You can try removing the second screen or hub to resolve the issue. You may also be able to update your video card for an improved

Hey guys, I apologize for the trouble. We use the Windows Installer to install on Windows computers, and it can be prone to a few quirks and problems on occasion. This article should help navigate them: http://www.logos.com/support/logos5/windows/install-issues Mac occasionally has a few quirks of it's own, but most can be resolved by deleting the app

  • Re: SUGG: add a link describing update on the update popup

Depending on how long since the last application update (or last time you opened Logos online), you can guestimate which update or release it is likely to be. If you use Logos fairly regularly, it will most often be the most recent update.

  • Re: SUGG: add a link describing update on the update popup

Hey guys, This might be a great suggestion to post on Logos 5 User Voice . As a work-around solution, release notes for application updates are always posted here, in the forums and on the wiki ( Logos 5 Release Notes ), and this type of update is always an application update, so you could look it up before installing.

  • Re: Highlighting bug on Windows 7 x64

Hi Don, Thanks for reporting this. I apologize for the inconvenience it's causing. Given the inconsistency, it would be best if you can get us a screen-cast or capture of the problem with the Bible you're using and the location it occurred. That will help us reproduce the problem and hopefully repair it.

For what it's worth, I think KS4J is spot on. The log seems to contain pretty clear indicators that something has corrupted the primary index (LibraryIndex). If you have any trouble following his instructions, please don't hesitate to contact Customer Service at 1(800)875-6467 or +1(360)527-1700 for assistance.

  • Re: Can one see what is not part of a Collection in the Library?

Hi Wayne, I haven't tried this yet, but I have theorized you could view the base collection, select all of its resources and apply a tag to them. Then you could create another collection with the rule ANDNOT mytag:the tag. If you're doing this to organize your library and know which books you've viewed/categorized, you could then tag them as you go

  • Re: Logos 5 Slow Startup and Layout Question

Hello Chelsea, I don't see anything specifically "wrong" in your logs, but I do notice you have an extremely long list of hidden resources - possibly all of the Perseus collection? Logos is spending several second processing that list every time it opens. If you do not want these resources, it may be better to unhide them and have them re-locked instead

Hello Timothy, I apologize for the trouble. Thank you for posting logs. It appears that your index is corrupt. We can rebuild it by deleting the following folder: /Users/timmy/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/p8i5ie3h.fda/LibraryIndex If that doesn't resolve the issue, please let me know.

Hi Donovan, Thank you for reporting this issue. I apologize for the difficulty. If you can replicate the problem, it would be of great help if you could provide reproduction steps, including which map you were using and how you were manipulating it, as well as logs in an standard ZIP archive. Glad to hear it Bill. I've submitted a report to development about this issue. We're going to try and work something out int he future to limit that report to fewer verses at a time if the reference range is too large. This should prevent accidentally entering overwhelming ranges. I don't have any ETA on this change yet, but our head of Logos Desktop
