  • Re: Logos 5 won't run

Hi Des, I apologize for the trouble. It looks like we can't find a DLL file that should be in the /Logos5/System directory. This can occur in two ways: The DLL file is present, but "Hidden". The DLL file has been deleted, possibly by partially uninstalling the software. This article will help you treat the first scenario: http://www.logos.com/support

  • Re: Logos 5 start-up fail on Windows 8

Hi Dave, We've narrowed this bug down to the Logos Blog. When opening Logos to the home page, with the Logos Blog turned on, it will crash when the window is resized or maximized. We're working to fix this issue. Meanwhile, you can workaround it by opening Logos, clicking "Customize" on the home page, and turning off the "Logos Blog" section before

Jesse, I apologize for the trouble. We're still looking into the cause, but we've identified your crash as similar, if not identical, to several others. Please call the Support Department (1-800-875-6467) for assistance at your convenience and we will apply a workaround that should prevent the issue until it can be resolved completely.

  • Re: Faithlife Study Bible Infographics problem

Sorry Jeff, I reported the issue and it is being looked into. It's technically working by design right now; it's just not designed to export at the size you're wanting. I'm not sure if the solution will be to somehow distribute the vector source files, or rewrite the exporter to custom-rasterize the vector to a desired size (very complicated and less

  • Re: crash

Hi Mark, The first thing I'd recommend is reloading the application file. You can delete it from the Applications folder and reinstall from www.logos.com/install . If that doesn't work, can you describe what occurs at the time of the crash? Are you opening the application or performing a search of some kind?

That was my initial concern too, but we haven't had any problems with that. There is a security camera, just about 4 feet above where I took that photo from, and it's a high-visibility street; those factors probably keep things somewhat safe.

If that's the case, it probably isn't staying open long enough to recognize it. It might be best if you could give us a call to look at it more directly. We're available from 6:00am-5:00pm Pacific, M-F, at 1-800-875-6467.

Hello Robert, Thank you for collecting these logs. I have elevated them to the Development team. Meanwhile, if you can reproduce them using the "Sample" button, instead of the Archive button, this may provide us with better data. It doesn't appear that a sample was collected with your logs.

  • Re: Delay before newly purchased resource downloads

Hi Allen, I haven't seen this type of delay unless the Automatic Download setting has been set to a schedule. You'll notice in Tools > Program Settings, you have an option to "Automatically download updates". When set to "yes", another option appears: "Between _______ and ________." This should be set to "Between Midnight and Midnight" to enable truly

Haha, yes, and I'm becoming known around downtown as "that guy who stands in the window". I do have a tall chair, like a hybrid between a bar stool and an office chair which I sit in on occasion if necessary. I don't find the window all too distracting, and if I do get distracted the natural light more than compensates for it in my overall productivity

Okay, you guys got my nerd going. Here's my workstation desk. I've been at Logos for a long time now. You'll notice I've collected some perks along the way, by way of coffee maker/table and mini fridge. I'm also blessed with a great window/view of downtown Bellingham.

  • Re: BUG: 5.0b resource tabs

We discussed this with Mac Development and found out this bug is caused by a problem in "Core Animation", which is controlled by OS X and the GPU. It seems as though the GPU may be running out of dedicated memory and jumbling its cached images. This would cause other images to appear in place of the Logos images used in tabs and possibly elsewhere in

Sorry guys. Someone in our product team must have uploaded using the wrong size settings. I've let them know. We'll get it fixed asap. It probably won't refresh on your end until tomorrow.

  • Re: Bug: Layout not restored correctly

This is happening because "Laptop 5.A" exists in two lists, Saved Layouts and the history. The history reflects two items with the same name, but the Saved Layouts list only allows for one item per name - replacing the old entry. Because you recreated it with he same name, the more current copy wrote over the previous copy in the Saved Layouts list

  • Re: Print/Export crash

This is usually caused by out-dated or damaged printer software. See thread: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/67282.aspx You may need to reinstall or update your printer driver.

  • Re: Mass Prioritize Delete?

We officially discourage manually modifying DB files in any way and we wouldn't encourage deleting them unless the local copy is corrupted somehow. I'll discuss this with Development and see if there's something we're planning to change to add better control to this feature in a future update. That would be the best solution, rather than tinkering with
