  • Re: Calvin's Institutes not for mobile?

This could be another casualty of the Logos position on mobile licensing fees that have been discussed on this forum in the past. I understand the reasoning, and to a certain degree respect the position Logos has taken. But the reality for me is that I'm buying less from Logos and buying from Amazon if the product is available there. I simply refuse

  • Re: Notes Application for Mac

I don't know if you mean something that is integrated with Logos. Personally, I write all my notes in Evernote, but it's not integrated with Logos as far as I know. From Evernote, I print out my notes for each lesson. The reason I use Evernote is because it can sync across my computer (where I write my notes) and my mobile devices. That way, if I lost

  • Re: Multiple Commentaries Open for Passage Search

Yup... many tabs can be a problem if the computer can't handle it. For those in that category, this wouldn't be an option they'd want to choose. This option simply automates an existing capability. The arrow option is fine unless, as I outlined in my "suggestion", you want to have a number of tabs open at once. But as I said, this is admittedly not

  • Re: Multiple Commentaries Open for Passage Search

This is a big deal for me. In fact, I just opened a "suggestion" for that based on the link given in this thread. The link for it is: http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-4/suggestions/3055817-open-all-commentaries-option For me, I simply want an option to open all available commentaries for a given passage. Hardly the most pressing

  • Re: online Bible Study magazine

I'll actually be ending my sub to the magazine when it comes up for renewal next year precisely because it's not digital. I've been doing that will all my magazines... going the digital route with renewals or not renewing if digital isn't available. Bible Study Mag is now only one of three magazines that I get in print. But I find these three tend to

  • Re: online Bible Study magazine

I asked this same question to Bob on Twitter in April and at the time he said they were working on it, but no time table yet. It's obviously some months later and I don't have an update. Only that, at the time, it was something they were working towards. Not sure if it's a layout issue as a magazine may be more complex within Logos then straight text

  • Re: Oswald Chamber - 50% off - but still unavailable on mobile devices

I'm probably missing a key component or distinction here. Let's use the Wiersbe "Be" series as an example. I can buy it here at Logos and, in fact, some of the series came with my base package. With Logos, under my account, I can read it on my computer, but not my iPad. The same "Be" books can be bought on Amazon where I can read it on my PC, on a Kindle

  • Re: Oswald Chamber - 50% off - but still unavailable on mobile devices

This lack of availability on mobile devices is becoming a bigger issue for me and has caused me to buy some resources on Amazon instead of through Logos where they're also available. I love that with Logos the material is all linked together and integrated. But some material is better read away from a computer. The Warren Wiersbe "Be" series is an example

  • Re: Dream On

I actually had that $500 video package on my Wish List. But I realized it didn't do what I really wanted... to learn to be able to read the New Testament in Greek. Not for any specific reason... just for the joy of it. I will happily stand corrected, but that video package is not really about truly learning the Greek (or Hebrew) language. It's more

  • Re: Your input needed: Faithlife Study Bible

Interesting that I saw this offer today and almost grabbed it, then stopped. I'm new to Logos so I'm still overwhelmed with all that I have. My thought was, "Do I really need this when I haven't even put to use all the other resources that I have?" I used to be the type where I'd grab something if it was free. Then, reality set in and I realized how

  • Re: More Authors like Warren Wiersbe

Love Wiersbe's work as well. Terribly disappointed, though, that the Be books aren't available for the iPad. They're not exactly books I care to read in long stretches at my computer. Will also be interested to see what recommendations others have.

  • Re: Anabaptist & Mennonite History and Zwemer

I decided to call tech support and find out what was happening. This probably isn't new for people who have been using Logos for a time, but it is for me. My account does say Ships Yesterday, but is still in the Pre-Pub section. This is something ST had mentioned earlier in this thread. The sense I got was that not everyone gets a package at the same

Been waiting all day, have updated numerous times, and quit/restarted a number of times. No luck, although my account says it ships today.

Still waiting for my download to kick in. Getting really fast at typing "update now" in the Command Bar just to see if I can get it started. Did notice the price went up about $25 today for the package compared to the pre-order.

Thanks for the link and insights, Andrew. Definitely getting an education on how all this works.

Thanks. That's a good point... I forget that some of these texts are very old and may require a lot of extra work to bring them to a level that allows them to work well within the Logos software.

That's a good point about the amount of volumes affecting production time. I was more looking for just a general feel... I have no idea if it might be 3-months, 1 year or 4 years. I imagine Logos has done this a lot and there's some sort of range.

I did dip my toe in the CP waters with two of the Classic Commentaries. Is there an average length of time between when the bidding closes and when the product is available?

I'm new to Logos and just started exploring CP today. Put in a bid on two things. I can see where this could get rather addictive.

  • Re: Anabaptist + Mennonite Collection ships tomorrow...where to start reading?

I must admit... I do get a bit annoyed when a delay happens and there's no word about it. I had an e-mail two days ago alerting me that my pre-order would be available on 6/8. I've not had an official e-mail that there's been a delay. (Not that I really need one at this point.) Had I not, by chance, gone to the product page today and noticed the change
